Sorry if this has been raised before, couldn't find anything via search.
Pretty simple - what controller do you use to play TGC?
I am still on the original PS4 controller.
Have seen people mention Hori controllers. Anyone using anything special?

Hori is not special or anything like that... it's cheating!
Period.
PS: I'm using a PS4 Stock Controller too.

I use my keyboard that has a touchpad, and that's why I'm on CC-E. My damn XBox controller stopped working about a million years ago. Or whenever the XB1 controllers came out.

XBox controller for PC...I have 2 and I suck with both of them. Thought about getting a Razer but a bit pricey

Just the X1 controller....with half the coating over my swing side stick missing from over 1000 rounds and a couple dozen courses designed.

I use the standard XB1 controller. I used the elite XB1 for awhile, but really struggled with partial flop shots, so I went back to the normal.

I just bought a new ps4 controller and found that it`s a second-generation not knowing that original was the first generation This one seems mutch better than the first one that came with the console

New-generation controllers for PS4?
Never heard about it really... are there any technical differences that are worth to be mentioned?

I use the standard XB1 controller. I used the elite XB1 for awhile, but really struggled with partial flop shots, so I went back to the normal. I have TGC in both PS4 and XB1 flavors. I started on PS4 (standard conroller) but went to XB1 (Elite Controller) when I started having major issues with my PS4 console. Switched back after solving them.
When I was playing on XB1 I was using an unmodified Elite controller. Never did try using the standard one. But for me there just was not enough resistance on the thumb stick on the elite. For the most part of could hit straight drives and irons if I really concentrated. But putting was killing me since I could not look at the stick and putt at the same time. And the elite was very sensitive to the forward motion not being straight. I was missing 5ft straight in putts because I would swing crooked.
Is the standard B1 controller better in this regard (i.e. resistance)?

I understand what you are saying with the resistance. I'm not sure the standard XB1 is a lot better, but I certainly feel more comfortable with it. But that may be the product of about 300 rounds with the standard and 100 with the elite. I really like the feel of the Elite controller (the weight and texture they use on the grips). I just wasn't being as consistent with flops. In all honesty, it is probably more mental for me than something mechanic with the controllers.
