Try and find something scary/horrible enough that people ask you to switch back to this one. Nothing is scarier than this one. LOL.

Congrats Wags!! Nice write up with the charts, but to be honest with you I just play to be playing. If I'm on. well then that's a good night. I've played alot of video golf games over the years and I've just never been one of those chart players. I'm glad it worked out for you though and good luck!!

WHAAAAAT?! I go to visit family for a week and a half and now Wagtadamus is on the Web tour? What kind of black magic is this??? Jk. Congrats, Wags. I wish I played on PC just to play with your ghost. I'll just have to settle for BillChief and Pablo.. I'll be joining you soon if I finish at least one shot better than the top 4 this week. Not holding my breath because 5 under is probably gonna take me out of the top 10 knowing CC-A Zach, strange things do happen don't they. Thanks for the kinds words. I hope you'll be joining me soon. Moe's watcher thread makes it worth while by itself. Well if the exemption line is correct and it stays where it's at... I'll have my shot at Web next week. Might practice the next course just to give myself a better chance at making the cut.

One thing missing in the guide - foot placement. Whether the ball is above or below the feet makes a huge difference to where it goes once hit. I found the best way to get an idea of how much to adjust for foot placement is to make a practice course with a bumpy fairway and play from slight incline/declines up to large incline/declines and learn how much to adjust. Just being slightly out can mean 10 yards of inaccuracy so it's worth taking time over this one little point.
This is still a problem for me at times - sometimes I genuinely can't tell whether I'm above or below the ball - probably my graphics card isn't quite good enough.

To me the biggest thing that is missing is rollout. It dictates more in this game than anything listed in the tips...and is also the hardest thing to judge. Harder than putting in my opinion because there is little to no consistency.

Yes,rollout too,but it's difficult to give much of a guide as all depends on firmness/speed.

Thanks for the additional info guys. Yeah, ball lie and roll out are huge. I'm sorry I didn't cover it. I can. And there are other things too I probably left out. There is a lot to think about and I was doing the guide off the top of my head, not using any charts or notes, so please forgive me for the few oversights. It wasn't intentional.
I was thinking of adding the additional notes and creating a PDF, uploading it to drop box and posting a URL so people could download it.
What do you think?

It's obvious numbers and spreadsheets were once your career. They drive me nuts in my job...so probably why I avoid them at all costs away from it.

I was originally a math major in college and yes, I've spent my whole life with numbers in some capacity. My wife is a math teacher, now retired. And whether we like it or not, video games are all numbers. They will behave the same way under each particular condition. At least they should unless there are bugs. LOL

Well if you guys have had a good enough look at swagtunes tips (I'm startin callin him that as he's so confident right now ) you'd have seen that he actually gave away pretty usefull tips about rollout too. This to me is pretty accurate for starters ; then you'll have to find yourselves how every club behave accordingly to wind speed, slopes on the green and de-loft applied. This tips are exactly how far I would personally give away on the forums - cause there's an impressive amount of "work" behind them, whether you believe it or not

I do hope I made it clear in my post that this is really basic stuff and like I said, won't take anybody to the PGA. But it served me well enough to get me to where I am and I'm content with that. And like some have said, this isn't for everybody. Lots of people like to play by feel, and that's great. Whatever makes each one enjoy this amazing game. Now I gotta go practice Boston some more so I don't embarrass myself out there this week.

The course next week in Web is easier than the course in CC Tell me about it. These guys are going to rip it to shreds to the tune of 50 under or better.
