Wales fortunate to be in front at HT. Anyone would think Louis Van Gaal was behind the England approach for the last 3 halfs of football.. What good is mass amounts of possession when u don't use it to your advantage.. Sterling certainly should have scored.. Bale struck the ball well for the goal but Hart should have done better really. Interesting 2nd half ahead.. after the euros u can have hodgson as man u coach if u want we don't want him |

Iv backed England Ukraine Germany All to win Hodgson tryin his best to @!$# it up with his team selection. Sturridge to come off the bench and win it. Sturridge!!!! Quoting yourself & quite right!!  good call! England deserved the win! Amazingly the first time in a major tournament England have come from behind at half time to win! Much needed 40 points for me in our predictor lge too!  That's a massive win for that English team! Confidence will grow as a result. It's amazing cuz sport is a lot about confidence, another draw 2day after another dominatinon would have being a bad mental blow to Hodgson's men.. As it is.. They now should beat Slovakia, top the group & be in a good mental place ahead of the last 16.. |

Although I'm not thrilled with Mourinho's appointment I know he'll do a much better job than Van Gaal.. So content without doing cartwheels.. The bench wins it. If he doesn't play Vardy and Sturridge from the word go next time he's an idiot. Rashford is sheer class but Lallana is coming good too at last. Hart is dodgy - way overrated. They can praise Hodgson all they like for bringing the subs on but for me he was 45 mins too late |

I for one think Forster is unlucky not to be England's no.1 keeper. Some of his performances in the champions lge for Celtic some years back defied belief while he was a major part in Southampton's good showing last season. If your an opposing player you don't wanna see Vardy, Rashford & Sturbridge coming at you.. How City paid 50 mil for Sterling I'll never know.. Liverpool got a great deal there.

Sterling was a great prospect... completely lacking physical presence and an end product. I get the impression he does it on the training pitch but that isn't good enough. I'm hoping he has had his chances now. I do think he could be an incredible player in a few years if he starts going in the right direction.
For the first time I think I might be seeing Hart for what he is. A very good keeper but too many mistakes. I do hope Forster takes his place, but I hope he works well with the defenders, cos Hart is a bit of a leader and we need that experience at the back. If he is to change it for me has to be next game in case it backfires, otherwise we push on with Hart.
What a game though, we dominated as I hoped we would and got our rewards. Wales took an undeserved lead so could park the bus, how we managed to work our way through them for that winner was pretty awesome and required some great little touches. Beat Slovakia and we top the group, we have to take that opportunity now and march on. I really hope Wales take the second spot now.
I've been a fan of Roy tbh, he has made mistakes but he is learning from them it seems. Moral has been good in the build up. To change 2 subs at half time is bold, deserves the praise. There was no reason to think that the starting lineup couldn't have taken the first half lead, Sterling was a weak link and Hart should have saved Bale's shot, but otherwise was a decent performance.
Come on Northern Ireland... and as I type... A GOAL!
