Most of you know me as "The Twitter Guy" but what most of you don't know is that I'm working towards turning Professional in golf in real life. What is the main thing aspiring pros need? Money... So with that being said I am looking to create a few tournaments that PS4 players will be able to compete in. How it works is you will go to my GoFundMe page and donate $10.00 This will count as your Entry Fee to the tournament. Then once I close registration I will open the tournament for play (36 holes) short and sweet.
I will then take 75% of the money raised from Entry Fee's and pay it out to the top 30% + ties of the players that registered via my GoFundMe page. I know 75% isn't a whole lot but this is my way of helping myself raise some money and also create a tournament where you can also win some money.
I did something similar to this where I offered a $200 payout to the first person to shoot 59 or better on the hardest course I ever created and Brian Murphy was the first to do it. He can vouch that I actually paid up and of course I promise to do the same with these tournaments. If I don't you can blast me all over these forums / twitter / Facebook you name it. I would probably also be banned from playing TGCTours as well and of course I don't want that to happen.
My GoFundMe Page is located here: www.gofundme.com/970li0 if you want to check it out now. Here is an example of how the payouts would look.
(Example Only)
Number of Players: 30
Total Buy-ins: 30 x $10 = $300
Total Paid to Players: = $225 (75%)
Paid Places: 10 (30% of field)
1st = $42.50
2nd = $27.00
3rd = $24.75
4th = $22.50
5th = $21.37
6th = $19.12
7th = $18.00
8th = $17.10
9th = $16.65
10th = $15.75
I know it doesn't look like a lot but the more players that play the more each position will pay. I just used 30 people as an example. You *MUST* have a PayPal account as all payments will be paid via PayPal using your email address. The remaining monies will go towards my future of hoping to one day turn pro and be competitive. I've only been playing golf in real life for 7 years. (Started when I was 25) But am a 0 handicap and was ranked 54th in the state of Hawaii in 2015 among all Amateurs. I compete in State Am events and have won 5 events on the Golf Channel AmTour here in Hawaii over the past 4 years. My lowest round in real life was a bogey free -5 (67) and continue to get better with each passing year. I hope you guys are interested and will play.
So if you have read this far you must be pretty interested. When I decide to do this I will post here in the Community Ran Events and open the registration for 3 or 4 days. During this time you will go to my FundMe page and make the donation. In the "Remarks" section you must provide your Gamer Tag and Email address so at the conclusion of the tournament I will be able to know exactly who paid and build my results page and pay out the right people the right amount.
You will not be paid if you play the tournament first and then go to my page and make a $10 donation. I will have the list of names / gamertag's / email addresses in a spreadsheet of the people that actually paid during the registration period (Via timestamps on the gofundme page) and then open the tournament for play the next day.
Thanks guys, (and gals)
