Hey guys! Would love some feedback on the front nine of my first course, The Signature Course at West Valley. It's a boreal course with semi-hard fairways and semi-fast greens. Still plenty of planting and fine tuning left. Without wind I think it plays on the easy side for the good players but still requires some planning and shot-shaping to get close on some holes. There's also a bonus hole as I already laid out what I plan to be the 18th. Approach to the 5th green. The 7th hole, long par 3. Published as Signature West Front 9. Thanks guys! /Mellow_Swe

I will not tell anyone the conditions either, I assume you want to keep it a secret for everyone to guess.
Some will not like how narrow it is, or the tiny greens. The bonus hole I assume is not done, because you may as well just skip the fairway altogether as the shot feeds to the right rough, I hit well right of fairway and almost bounced all the way down to the left water. Unless I assume you are just simply taking driver out of everyone's hands, which might be case, then knowledge of the hole would be key as it's hard with the scout to see that it slopes that much. I did not try again to see if 3 wood might be the better option there.
But it looks OK to me. I got a lucky bounce and eagled 8, I would not say it was easy at all. I played in 10 mph wind most of the way and it was holding me to par or a couple under, if I did not have to wait for a few holes to figure out the conditions I might of done only a little better.
If your looking for a challenging track for better players, you are on the right track here. I suspect it will eat the average player though in any wind above 6 or 7 mph.

Thx Steve.
Really good feedback! The conditions are not really a secret, but after playing a few times in wind I see it's way too firm. Tricky thing that, because I had it at the default at first and was sticking 4-irons in less than 6 feet...so I dialed it up just a bit and ended up with cement greens. So if anyone else tries it, the greens are FIRM.
I think the goal is to have a bit of a challenge, a track that good players like yourself can play and not automatically shoot -15. I'll look into widening it a bit but I don't want to make it too easy. But as it is now I'd absolutely dial down the firmness.
And yeah, bonus hole is not done, going to flatten the left side of the fairway...maybe make it a little shorter so it is reachable in two.
Thx for the feedback!

It seems here, even though there is a slider, the firmness once you go past 12 o'clock is the same hard as cement firmness as all the way to the top.
That's a problem here for sure, I think I know exactly what you are looking for, you do not want drop and stop, you don't want trampoline either. You are stuck with med and you can dial up the speed of the green unfortunately, or you slow the greens down, there does not seem to be that happy place in between.

Yes, exactly!
Had the slider at 12, then tried to move it a little and it went to between 1 and 2. Made greens impossible to hold with anything longer than an 8-iron.
I have also found that when rotating brushes they do not rotate evenly, but rather in a jagged way. Maybe thats just the sensitivity of my mousewheel...looks seamless in the videos posted by ps4 and xb1 users.
I did some tinkering last night and I think that made the greens a little better. Now a 4-iron can carry the green on #7 and hold...before it would run through the back. Still not great but a step in the right direction.

ALT arrow right or left to rotate slower.
The slider, think of it like this, soft, medium soft, medium, and hard. While it looks like it is moving and you can certainly set it between, it seems to have the effect like I'm suggesting.
