This was obviously in yet just runs over the hole. For some reason the flag is in the hole on the replay.

Putt was too fast. One thing i find unrealistic about this game is that a player can putt the ball super fast and it still goes in. I think your putt was actually accurate.

Truly,it wasn't too fast. I know when they are but I had no doubt it was in. It's a pity the replay has the flag in because it obscures the view. The ball just keeps on running. Viewing it in fullscreen, the ball speed is not too fast to drop.

I agree that the hole accepts too many putts that are over speed and not centered. It's possible to ram putts IRL too, but they have to be pretty much dead center.
That said - I think that the putt here is one of the best examples of where this bug keeps balls out that should have dropped.

I wish I had recorded a replay for mine but I'm seeing the same same issue. I thought it was just me until I saw this posting. I wondered if the game was so sensitive I might have been a micro off and it makes it roll over but then I also noticed there wasn't any hop or anything like a real putt does at the hole when its too fast. it just rolls as if there is no hole at all. Ill absolutely record it the next time it happens.
Playing on PC using a Nyko game controller.

I've seen the putt that were too fast...this was not too fast. Let's hope this is fixed with TGC2

I've seen the putt that were too fast...this was not too fast. Let's hope this is fixed with TGC2 I could not agree more. However seeing as this should be considered a feature I'm not sure it will be fixed. I say that because this was changed. I think HBS got it backwards, to make things a little more difficult they tightened up the hole, rather than decrease the forgiveness of the slight miss hit giving longer putts. Just MHO.

I'd be on CC-B and I wouldn't have octokontaheptaphobia if a few more of those fell in for me. F***ing glitches...

HP have acknowledged this problem but as yet done nothing about it i had three such putt`s today on the cc, don`t hold your breath on it being fixed though there to busy doing HB 2 Probably busy on putting the same bugs in that game too.

I have done some testing in the GNCD and found that when placing pins on greens in areas of slope it effects this "glitch". The more dramatic the slope the pin is placed on the more this "glitched" occurred. It almost seems that there is an invisible lip created on the side of the hole towards the upper part of the slope. I used the soft fuzzy brush directly over the hole to flatten the hole and it seemed to alleviate this issue. Can anyone else confirm this?

Anthony Kyne of HB has confirmed that there is a collision detection issue that occurs sometimes. Essentially, the game periodically checks to see if the ball is in contact with the ground. If not, then the ball falls. What is happening here is that the ball passes the cup in between collision checks.
This phenomenon occurs more often when the cup is on a slope.
HB has also confirmed that this is a priority fix for TGC2.
TGC is written on the Unity 4 engine which has some, um... limitations. TGC2 is being coded on the Unity 5 engine, so hopefully, these weird issues can be resolved.

The putt would have gone in has it been hit softer.
IRL it would have dropped, and the physics need fixing, but the player could have saved himself a shot by hitting it softer.
Play the game as it is, not how you think it should be.

Play the game as it is, not how you think it should be. The problem with that is that often the putt does go in,at that pace and firmer - sometimes it runs over the hole. I'll stick with the way I normally putt, not being short, and accept the odd glitch until the new game arrives.
