October 22nd, 2014We've been busy behind the scenes working out the details of all our tours and have decided to make a major change to the status of the European Tour. With such a strong following of TGCTours.com in the UK, we've bumped up the European Tour to be on par with the PGA Tour. Consider them 1A and 1B now. The European Tour is no longer an open tour - it will require a European Tour card to be eligible for participation which can only come via Q-School. When you submit your score for the sixth and final course of Q-School, you will also have to enter your preferred Pro tour (should you qualify for a card). There will also be an option to check a box that states you're willing to go to either tour if your first choice has filled up but spots remain open on the other. After the PGA and European Tours have been filled, we will then start handing out Web.com Tour cards. When those have been handed out all remaining players will be assigned to the Champions Tour. NOTE: Players that fail to finish ALL 6 rounds of Q-School will also be assigned to the Champions Tour. This means Q-School participation is required if you want to play on European Tour. Please visit tgctours.com and signup for Q-School if you want a chance at a European Tour card. Initially, our Web.com Tour will be a feeder tour for both the PGA and European Tours. In the future, if participation numbers will support it, we will look at adding the Challenge Tour to feed the European Tour. The Manage Your Schedule feature is on hold until we can make it work with our new tour structure. Please visit tgctours.com for all the details. Thanks! TGCTours Staff

November 6th, 2014First off, a big thank you to all who have and are currently participating in the first beta tournament - great turnout so far. As our first BETA Tournament winds down and our second BETA Tournament is about to start we thought it was important to answer many of the questions that came up during the first week. Please make sure to read the FAQ below. Another important change will be the enforcement of our standard tournament rules for the Hard BETA Tournament. We were lax on our rules for the Easy BETA so that everyone could get familiar with our system. For BETA Tourney #2 we will be verifying rounds as well as closing registration at the start of the event. This means that you must find and play the tournament in the Tournament section. Those that play via "Play Round" will not pass verification because your scores will not be on the in-game leaderboard. This will result in you being disqualified. Hard BETA Tournament in-game name will be: tgctours.com - BETA Tourney 2 It will be created early Saturday, November 8th (EST time) in the Tournament section. TGC Tours ForumsIf you don't frequent our forums we suggest you sign up and participate - lots of information is being exchanged there! You will need to register on the forums to post. Forums: tgctours.proboards.com/FAQCan I play via "Play Round" and submit as a score for a tournament? No, you must play all your rounds in the proper tournament which will prevent golfers from restarting rounds. You must be on the leaderboard in game so that your score can be verified. If you are not on the in-game leaderboard any scores you submitted will not count and you will be disqualified (DQ). Do I have to play all 4 rounds at once?No you don't. Some tours will have cuts - in those tours you will have to have R1 and R2 completed and submitted by the end of the Thursday of that week. All four rounds must be submitted before the deadline on Sunday. There will be a countdown clock for all tours to show when cuts will happen and tournaments end. How do I sign my scorecard? You will use the total strokes (68, 72) and not your score relative to par (-8, +3) to sign your scorecard. Signing your score incorrectly will result in a DQ. Signing your name incorrectly will not result in a DQ. We will be putting in a validation check to make sure users don't enter in scores relative to par in the near future. I submitted the wrong score or used the wrong format, can you fix it?For the BETA tournaments, yes. Once Q-School starts, no. When does the leaderboard show R2, R3 and R4?Our tournaments will run from Saturday to Monday (9 days) in-game but will follow the countdown timer on www.tgctours.com for all deadlines. Rounds will be revealed on these days: R1 - when tournament opens R2 - Monday (Day 3) Tours with cuts happen at the end of Thursday R3 - Friday (Day 7) R4 - Sunday (Day 9) I'm stuck in rocks and can't continue - what now?HB Studios are aware of this issue and will hopefully release a patch in the future. In the meantime, if you are on PC you can try to Alt-Tab to go into window mode and then Alt-Enter to go back into full screen mode - this will fix the issue sometimes. There is no known fix for consoles. It's a risk we will all have to deal with until HB Studios pushes a fix out. How can I avoid issues resuming rounds?Never quit on the first tee - always take at least one shot before leaving a round. This will hopefully avoid the game putting you back on the 18th hole of the previous round with a 1-inch putt (and adding a stroke to your round).

2014 Q-School starts December 1st Quick Notes
Q-School will be created as a Tour (not a Tournament) - Playing via "Play Round" and submitting scores from those rounds will result in disqualification - you must be on the in-game Tour leaderboard so that your scores can be verified - Harbour Island Black was removed due to frame-rate issues that cropped up on the consoles after the last update - Kodiak Reserve Light CC has replaced Harbour Island Black as the fifth stop on Q-School - Copper Creek National (Q-School) is the updated version we will be playing during Q-School - Please remember to submit correct scores using strokes (68,73) and not scores relative to par (+3, -4). Incorrect scores will result in a disqualification
Policy on Zero-axis Input Devices TGC Tours takes the official stance that, to the extent we are able to police this issue, use of devices that produce zero-axis (perfectly straight) shots repeatedly will result in immediate disqualification and discipline. See below for our two-strike policy. Devices that produce an abnormal amount of perfectly straight shots will fail our spot checks TGC Tours will conduct random spot-checks on exceptionally low rounds and tournament leaders/winners to ensure a level playing field. Report suspicious rounds to commish@tgctours.com
Two-Strike Policy effective December 1st, 2014
Strike 1 (scores removed, 1 week ban from Tournament play) Strike 2 (scores removed, permanent ban from TGC Tours)

December 14th, 2014
Q-SchoolEnd Date & Time We're very close to the finish line - you have until December 17th at 3am EST/8am GMT to submit scores for Q-School. The tour may still be open in The Golf Club, but TGC Tours will not accept your scores past the deadline. The leaderboard is showing all 6 rounds now! Make sure you played tgctours.com - Q-School 2014 in the Play Tour section. Please check the in-game leaderboard to make sure your scores are there. If you played a different tour or played the rounds individually via Play Round, your scores will not be verified and you will start out on the Champions Tour. Q-SchoolChange Your Preferred Pro Tour For those of you that have finished all six rounds and are having second thoughts about the preferred pro tour you selected, fear not! You are now able to change that by logging into www.tgctours.com and then going to Members -- My Profile. The deadline to make this change will be the same as the end of Q-School Wednesday, December 17th at 3am EST/8am GMT. PGA & European ToursMandatory Vacation and Crossover Tournaments Applies to PGA and European Card holders only Mandatory Vacation: Each PGA and European Tour card holder will be required to miss 4 weeks on their respective tour per season. You can do this by playing crossover events on the other pro tour, playing the Executive Tour or by taking the week off entirely. Max Crossover Events: Each PGA and European Tour card holder may play a max of 10 crossover events during the initial season. Season Two: If you manage to earn a tour card during a crossover event, you will have two full tour cards during season two and will be able to play any event on either schedule. If you possess just a single tour card, your max crossover events remains at 10. A crossover event occurs when a PGA card holder registers and plays a European Tour event and vice versa. Majors and WGC events do not count as crossover events. Designers - Submitted Courses We are working hard on redesigning the new course review process and will be ready to unveil it shortly. Thanks for your patience! We think the new changes will be appreciated by all designers. The one main difference will be in the turn-around time from when a course is submitted to TGC Tours to when it's available for play on the site. It will be much quicker, we promise!
Updated Flags We have added flags for England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. To change your flag go to www.tgctours.com and then Members -- My Profile. Job Applicants Thanks to everyone that applied for a position at TGC Tours. We have recorded all names and preferred positions and will be getting back to everyone shortly. Multiple Account PolicyAnyone submitting scores for multiple accounts during the same week will be reviewed by the TGC Tours admin and be dealt with on a case by case basis. We thought it went without saying but unfortunately, it is now being said. If we deem it to be a blatant attempt to game the system, we will be DQ'ing all associated accounts. Some of you own The Golf Club on multiple systems - as long as you play on one system per week (you can still switch systems week to week) you are fine. Policy on Input Devices TGC Tours takes the official stance that, to the extent we are able to police this issue, use of devices that produce perfectly straight shots (white line) repeatedly will result in immediate disqualification and discipline. See below for our two-strike policy. TGC Tours will conduct random spot-checks on exceptionally low rounds and tournament leaders/winners to ensure a level playing field. Members can also report suspicious rounds to commish@tgctours.com Two-Strike Policy effective December 1st, 2014Strike 1 (scores removed, 1 week ban from Tournament play) Strike 2 (scores removed, permanent ban from TGC Tours)

Course Ratings & Reviews
December 28th, 2014 New FeatureOur new submission and review system has been out for a few days and is now ready for prime time. Submitted Courses will be available on TGCT immediately by going to the new Review a Course page - All members can now rate and/or review submitted courses - Reviews, upon approval from TGCT staff, will be displayed on the course profile page - Works well with our Submit Practice Round feature - after submitting a practice round why not head over to Review a Course and rate/review it! Course Submission ProcessCourse Submission remains the same except we removed the option to add course pictures. Our staff photographers will now get pictures for all submitted courses. Rate and/or Review a CourseReview a Course is a brand new page on TGC Tours. Here you will find all submitted courses ready to be rated and/or reviewed by you! Any TGCT member may rate and review a course by clicking on the course name and filling out the information on the next screen. The reviews and comments will be stored until approved by a TGCT staff member but the rating will be effective immediately. If you want your review to be published, we suggest you use proper grammar and punctuation! Not all comments and reviews will be published but we will publish multiple reviews for the same course so keep them coming. All published reviews will appear at the bottom of the course's profile. - You can rate a course without reviewing it - You can only rate/review a course once - Designers can not rate/review their own course TGC Tours will only be giving out 5-star badges to the top tier of courses. Every other course will either be approved or not approved and then sent to our Course Listings page. All numerical ratings will come from TGCT members. Original Course Listing PageThe Course Listings page will now show all courses submitted going forward. The default filter will be set to TGCT Approved. Non-approved courses will not be displayed unless the filter is manually turned off or is searched for specifically. So now you have something to do while you wait for your tours to start. Get out there and review some courses! Up NextKeep an eye out for another email coming soon that details tour registration, cuts, sponsor exemptions and more!

News & Announcements Sponsor Exemptions Couple things to note here. Let's start off with how we want our sponsor exemptions to function. The main objective for the Sponsor Exemptions will be to fast track players to the tour above them when it's evident that they are too skilled for their current tour. You will also see more handed out early in the season as we aim to balance out the tour numbers a bit as well. These will be introduced in time for Week 3.
How they will work: * After a tournament is finished we will go through and give exemptions based on certain performance criteria (will be posted when finalized - still need more data). * The member will be notified via email that they have received a Sponsor Exemption for the upcoming event on the tour above them. * After registration closes (0500 UTC on Saturday (http://www.worldtimeserver.com/convert_time_in_UTC.aspx?y=2015&mo=1&d=17&h=5&mn=0) ), these exemptions become active for 48 hours. Users that have an exemption will now have the option to register for the tour above them as long as the player field hasn't hit the maximum for that week (the "Registration closed" on the main page will change to "Register" link for those with active exemptions) * If you make the cut while using an exemption you will earn a full tour card and become a member of that tour (your previous tour card is no longer valid) * Web.com members will have the choice of using their exemption for either the PGA or European Tour (subject to max field) * Champions Tour members will only be allowed to use their exemption for Web.com events * Q-School exemptions are different and do not expire after 48 hours
Our goal is to have 130-140 regulars on both the PGA and European Tours and then use 20-30 sponsor exemptions to bring both fields up to a max of 150 players. We are also looking at reducing the Web.com field so that each tournament has approx 200 registered members (while increasing the cut to approx 50% of the field). This means that there will be a large amount of shuffling in the coming weeks.
These sponsor exemptions will be retro-active - so if you would have earned one in Week 1, you will have an email coming your way for Week 3.
Voluntary Demotion Keeping with our theme of having golfers play on the tours most aligned with their skill level, we will also allow members to submit an email to commish@tgctours.com (mailto:commish@tgctours.com) requesting a demotion. There will be only one requirement before any demotion request will be considered. * Member must miss 5 consecutive cuts
These requests will be on a case-by-case basis and will not be as simple as requesting a demotion and getting it. We will be looking at all previous scores and if it becomes apparent that you can remain competitive on your current tour, your request will be denied. For example, if you request a demotion but you have scores in the low 60's sprinkled in your rounds, it's likely you will not be demoted. Likewise, if you're missing the cut by one or two strokes it's also likely your request will be denied.
Cut Lines TGCT reserves the right to change the cut line depending on the size of the field. This is mainly due to the size of the Web.com Tour but will apply to all tours (except Champions Tour) if needed.
PGA & European Tours: This is not likely to affect these tours as the 70+ties cut-line will be the standard Web.com Tour: We will be increasing the cut line to be closer to 50% of the field Champions Tour: No cuts, does not affect this tour
As stated above, our goal is to get the Web.com Tour to closer to 200 members via sponsor exemptions. We will be adjusting the cut line to be closer in line to 50% of the field.
Ties/Playoffs In the event of a tie at the end of 4 rounds, the winner will be determined by the lowest R4 score. If that is tied, it moves back to R3 through to R1. If still tied it will go to the member ranked higher on the money list.
Interesting Fact of the Day All golfers spot-checked during Week 1 passed with flying colors!

Why is this happening?TGC Tours is growing at a decent pace and the majority of new members are finding their way to the Web.com and Champions Tours. Both of these tours are already beyond max size. Instead of creating new Tours we are instead splitting the existing tours into flights. This will give us room to grow as new members join up. When Is this happening?February 23rd - March 1st. Both the Web.com and Champions Tours will have no event during that week. Flight NamesWeb.com A Web.com B Web.com C Champions Tour A Champions Tour B How it Will Work- Both Web and Champions Tours will be combined, sorted by average score and then reshuffled to expedite the balancing - no players that have made a cut on the Web.com Tour will be demoted to the Champions Tour
- All flights for each tour will play the same Tournament in-game (ex. all Web.com members (Flight A, B, C) will still play the tgctours.com - Web - W10 in-game)
- Cuts for the Web.com will drop back to 70+ ties for each flight
- You can only earn exemptions to the flight above you
- Some Champions Tour members will be promoted to Web.com flights while some Web.com members will be demoted to Champions Tour flights
- If you haven't completed an event (submitted all 4 rounds), or haven't played any rounds, you will be placed on the bottom flight of the card you earned out of Q-School
Web.com Tour- Cuts for all flights will be 70+ ties - Purse will be the same for all flights - much smaller fields with more Web.com members making cuts Champions Tour- Purse will be the same for all flights - Still no cuts Earning ExemptionsWeb A - If you meet any of the criteria below you will receive 1 Pro Tour Exemption.1 round of 59 or better 2 rounds of 62 or better 4 rounds of 64 or better Web B - If you meet any of the criteria below you will receive 1 Web A Exemption.1 round of 61 or better 2 rounds of 64 or better 4 rounds of 66 or better Web C - If you meet any of the criteria below you will receive 1 Web B Exemption.1 round of 63 or better 2 rounds of 66 or better 4 rounds of 68 or better Champ A - If you meet any of the criteria below you will receive 1 Web C Exemption.1 round of 65 or better 2 rounds of 68 or better 4 rounds of 70 or better Champ B - If you meet any of the criteria below you will receive 1 Champ A Exemption.1 round of 67 or better 2 rounds of 70 or better 4 rounds of 72 or better Field SizesTo give you an idea of the new field sizes, here's how it would have broken down if we did the reshuffling today. We will run the numbers again just prior to the update to get the official fields set. Tour Approx Field Size *** Web A 130 Web B 100 Web C 100 Champ A 130 Champ B 70
***active members, field sizes do not include members that have not submitted 4 rounds in one event, have not played a round yet or demotions from PGA/Euro
TGC Tours Voice Lobby (via Mumble)We are pleased to introduce the TGC Tours Voice Lobby. To get to the Lobby, you must be logged into the main site and then you can visit this page: tgctours.com/Home/VoiceChatThe lobby page will show you users that are currently online and what room they are in. It will also give you instructions and settings for setting up the Mumble Client. The actual voice chat functionality is powered by Mumble. If you're not familiar with Mumble, it's a client that runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android platforms. Once you get your client downloaded and installed, you can connect to our server and instantly have access to chat with other TGC Tours members. Andre has given a quick overview in this short video: I recommend you read through the overview and tips on the main site. The password for our server is located there and I won't be posting it here for obvious reasons. The other settings you'll need are posted there as well. Why have we added this?We hope that it will give us the opportunity to hang out and get to know each other better. But we also want it to be a place for people to find matches with others that are looking to tee it up. The server is divided into several channels/rooms that will allow a pair or foursome to branch off from the main discussion and play a round together. All in all I think this will be a great addition to the community. Chipping on the Greens Policy (wording tweaked)New PolicyPutter must be used on the green unless your line is obstructed by fringe/rough/bunker, in which case use of a putter is not mandatory. PenaltyDisqualification from event Who polices it?You the members will police it. If you see a ghost ball not using a putter on the green and it is obvious that there is no obstruction between them and the pin, record a video and submit it to us at commish@tgctours.com (not on the forums!). The video must be from the perspective of the ghost ball - you can do this by selecting Watch Replay and pick the ghost ball that is not using a putter on the greens. TGC Tours will have the final say on all cases. When does this policy come into effect? It's in effect now Voluntary DemotionsWe've made a minor change to our Voluntary Demotions policy. You may request a demotion if you miss 3 straight cuts (down from 5) by emailing commish@tgctours.comTGC Tour - Email ArchiveYou can view all TGC Tour mass emails here on our forum.

Week 5 - R1 & R2 Submission Deadline Just a reminder that we have moved the deadline for R1 & R2 to be submitted up one day. The deadline will expire Thursday at 11:59pm EST (9 hours from this email)
Week 6 - Registration Reminder You have until Friday at 11:59pm EST to register.
Reminder that the two pro tours (PGA and European Tour) have a max field of 140. If you are too slow to register and the max field is met you will have to cross over to the other tour or sit the week out.
If you have earned a Pro Tour exemption and the tour you want to play is maxed out you will have to play the other tour or not use the exemption.
Updated Penalty for Chipping on the Green After some internal discussion we have decided to lessen the initial punishment for not putting on the green. We have come up with a way to administer the penalty that is simple to manage.
Updated Penalty 1st offense - 2 stroke penalty 2nd offense (in same tournament) - Disqualification * all offenses wiped clean at the start of a new tournament

Max field is set to 175. Registration PolicyIt is the responsibility of the player to ensure that you have registered for an event. You must check that you are in the player field after registering. You should also see a Withdraw link on the Upcoming Events and on the Tournament pages for that event when successfully registered for an event. Report any issues prior to the registration deadline passing to commish@tgctours.com. Anyone that claims they registered but are no longer in the field, and does so after the deadline, will have to provide proof. Web.com and Champions Tour - FlightsWe are nearing our off week for the Web.com and Champions Tours. During this week we will be combining both tours fields and then dispersing you to our new flights based on your scores shot to date. If you haven't recorded any scores we will filter you based on your Q-School Score. To keep you all engaged during the off-week we will be hosting a handicap-enabled tournament that will be open to all TGC Tours members. You will not submit scores to TGC Tours for this event but feel free to jump on the forums to discuss as you normally would! Details of this event will be released by the weekend. Cross-Overs Policy applies to PGA and European Tours only TGCT has updated the policy to allow for unlimited cross-overs for PGA and European Tour members. Previously there was a limit of 10. Priority will still go to tour card members since they are able to register for events 14 days in advance. Members looking to cross-over can start registering 5 days in advance of the event's start date. Official policy below. Cross-Over Registration There is no limit to how many events PGA and European tour card holders can play on the tour for which they do not have a card. Cross-Over registration will open up 5 days prior to the start of an event. This is to give first registration rights to the players holding a card on the hosting tour.

Tuesday, February 24thWhat Flight am I on?- You can search for yourself in the Member List - you will find your new flight in the top right of your profile page - in the player lists of each flight found in the Tours section - there is a list located hereThe following applies to Web.com and Champions Tour members only- All Web exemptions have been reset - this was announced last week and just processed Tuesday morning so there was some overlap where you may have had an exemption that allowed you to register to a higher Web flight - that is no longer the case and you will need to re-register in your current flight
- All previous registrations were reset - please re-register on your new flight
- Flights are final - there will be no moving by request - if you think you should have been placed on a higher flight you will need to get there via the exemptions. If you think you should be lower, then you can voluntary demote yourself after 3 missed cuts
- All Web flights play the same tournament in-game. Likewise for Champions Tour
- Only Web A and Champions A will have previous results - Web B, Web C and Champ B members are all starting with a blank slate on those tours
- You can only promote one flight up at a time via exemptions
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION - MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE FIELD FOR YOUR NEW FLIGHT How Did You Sort the Flights? It was a combination of many factors. For those of you that have played rounds in the tours, your tour average score across all played events with a higher weight to your most recent events (to account for improvement) was used. Those without any events played, your Q-School scores were used. Then members were shuffled around until each flight had over 120 cards. Then it was looked over for anyone that looked out of place. There is no hard line of sorting - it was very fluid. Revised Q-School sorting1-under and better = Choice of PGA or Euro Tour E to 15-over = Web A card 16-over to 30-over = Web B card 31-over to 45-over = Web C card 46-over to 75-over = Champ A card 76-over+ = Champ B card Earning ExemptionsYou can not skip flights while working your way up the system. For example, if you are on Champ A and earn an exemption, you cannot use that exemption to play in Web A or Web B event. You can only use it on a Web C event. See below for how to qualify for an exemption. (updated #'s) Web A - meet any of the criteria below and receive 1 Pro Tour exemption. 1 round of 56 or better 2 rounds of 59 or better 4 rounds of 61 or better Web B - meet any of the criteria below and receive 1 Web A exemption. 1 round of 58 or better 2 rounds of 61 or better 4 rounds of 63 or better Web C - meet any of the criteria below and receive 1 Web B exemption. 1 round of 62 or better 2 rounds of 65 or better 4 rounds of 67 or better Champ A - meet any of the criteria below and receive 1 Web C exemption. 1 round of 65 or better 2 rounds of 68 or better 4 rounds of 70 or better Champ B - If you meet any of the criteria below you will receive 1 Champ A Exemption. 1 round of 67 or better 2 rounds of 70 or better 4 rounds of 72 or better Please visit the forums if you have any questions

Earning Tour Cards via Sponsor Exemption What - We are tweaking the process that gives out Tour Cards while using a sponsor's exemption. From now on we will only be handing out a max of 3 tour cards per tour/flight. The process for handing out sponsor exemptions is not changing. When - Effective Week 10 Details - To earn a Tour Card (all tours/flights) while using an exemption you must meet these two qualifications: - Make the cut (not applicable for Champions-A exemptions)
- Finish Top 3 amongst all sponsor exemptions (new)
Tiebreaker:- same as winner tie breaker (best 4th round, then 3rd, 2nd, 1st) - if still tied, then best WGR Why - We are wanting to protect our flights and make them more stable. Also, we want to make promotion much more challenging. We also don't want our PGA and European Tours to become overloaded with members as we are not going to "flight" them. This also protects us against easy courses giving out lots of exemptions which has resulted in a high number to Tour Cards being handed out to those who made the cut. Take week 7 for example - there were 20 tour cards handed out between the Euro and PGA tour - with our new system in place that would be trimmed down to 6. The Masters Tournament - How to QualifyYou will receive an official invite as a player if: - you are in the top 90 in the WGR (After the 3/30 run)
- you have won on the PGA Tour
- you have won on the European Tour
You will receive an official invite as an amateur (A) if you are in the: - top 3 Money List of Web A
- top 3 Money List of Web B
- top 3 Money List of Web C
- top 3 Money List of Champ A
- top 3 Money List of Champ B
*** Top amateur will receive an invite to the U.S. OpenThere will be up to 5 Sponsor Exemptions to be used at the discretion of the Tournament Director. NOTE: The cut will be top 50+ ties Testimonials We are going to add a section for some testimonials to be shown on www.tgctours.com.
