Since its possible that the handicap system will go live with the next update, I was wondering how it will be implemented into the TGC Tour events ?

I believe the tour will function on layers. Meaning Champions tour quality players together, Web.com tour players together. PGA/Euro card players together. This will be the TGCTours way to bracket like players together. As you get better on one tour, you have the option during (with wins) or at the end of the season to move up.

My understanding is there will be no handicap. The 4 tours appear to be set up so that players of similar skills compete with one another. That is the what the Q-School is all about. The top 250 players are split between the top 2 main tours (PGA/EURO) the next 200 will be in the feeder tour (Web.com) and the remainder playing on the Champions Tour.
It won't be like a player who averages 62 will be in the same tour as a player who averages 74. I would think the difference in averages scores would be 2 - 3 shot difference.
I guess you could compare it to a club championship.
PGA (Championship Flight A) EURO (Championship Flight B) WEB (C FLIGHT) CHAMPIONS TOUR (D FLIGHT)
Well thought out, and looks like it will be a blast come January.

The tours as announced will not use a handicap system at all. We have discussed adding an additional tour which will use handicaps in the future either using HB Studios forthcoming system or our own internal statistics. That discussion, however, has only been cursory and certainly not our main focus at the moment.
I'd also like to add functionality to create match play or ladder match scenarios using handicaps, on an ongoing basis, but that too is a project for sometime down the road.
None of these things will ever get off the ground if we aren't successful with the launch of our initial tours so we're working hard to make sure the community enjoys what we're putting forth and we'll build on that as we go.
