This is my entry for the HB Studio Rookie Event.
I've only been using the designer for about a month. I saw sign-ups for the rookie event while I was working through some tutorials. I thought it would be a good learning experience. Please play a round and let me know what you think.
Orcas Island is located in Washington state. It offers varied geographical features in a small area. I tried to represent all of these on the course. I put a lot of thought into the transitions.
Again, this is my first course. I know there are some warts. (clubhouse 50% done). Contest deadline was today and some detail work I wanted to finish had to be cut.
Anyway I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Hey Skoal, just played your course. It's quite nice for that little time using the designer. The most important things are present, so the effort is nice. Keep on practicing and you'll get to make some really nice courses.
Maybe a couple of the out of bounds areas are questionable, but hey, the winds were really high in my round, so that might also have something to do with that perceptcion

I played your course today and also had to play in a tropical storm...LOL...anyway, this is a great first effort. I really liked the hole design and difficulty here. There may be some room for smoothing, but this was really well done. I hope you keep designing. Thank you for your time and this nice course for us to enjoy.

We almost crossed in the course bass, and hey, your score was not as low as usual for you

No, it wasn't...tough conditions and I think I only ended up like -6 or so. Not good for me...sometimes I just don't play well.
