For the "Open" events on the PGA tour I would love to see a Monday Qualifier giving away 4 spots to CC / Web.com players trying to earn a spot. That would be awesome!

Do Monday qualifiers take place on the actual tournament venue? Or at a nearby course?

Here in Hawaii for the Sony Open they take place on a different course but usually a very difficult course to ensure they give away the spots to very deserving individuals. It's open to Amateurs and pro's alike that are not already exempt to play in the event. It's pretty cool. I carried the bag for an Amateur this year at the Sony Open Sunday Qualifier and he led the way on Sunday at -6 but we failed to qualify in the Monday qualifier. It was heart breaking because -4 would have gotten us in. Ahh well.

Not likely to be honest - just have to use the exemptions and have those be your qualifiers per se.

When I wrote this I was still on CC but I finally made it and got my Euro card... Monday Quals are no longer needed by me... LOL  |
