Nice course you've got here, I liked the extra touches you threw in to give it that stadium feel. It wasn't overly tough, as I shot -4 but that was helped by holing a couple of good long putts that I didn't expect. The two par 3s in a row is a neat touch, you don't see it all that often so to come across it was a bit of a surprise (and that's what I'm going to blame my bogey on!) but it didn't affect the flow of the course one bit.
The largest river area was beautiful, and the holes running along side that (maybe the 3rd, can't remember) were stunning and fantastically polished. On the other hand, I wasn't the biggest fan of the underwater rocks in other areas, I thought they looked a little too loose. They did work to give the water that tropical blue colour though, so that's a bonus.
The flowers on 17 were also a nice addition too, but you may argue that something more in keeping with the Olympic theme would have been better placed there? Still, excellent visual and it made me stop to check it out further.
Nice course, and best of luck in the contest to you.

As all boomboom originals are, this course was very interesting and unique. Multiple different tee shots required, a couple gorgeous tee shots and one of my favorite approach shots I've seen (I think it was 13). The land sculpting and mounding was different in a good way, my only critique on that would be a couple of tee boxes seemed to just be popped way up, without it looking like it was part of a tee complex. I think tees built individually are fine, but just not raised way up without moving some of the land around it. That is such a minor detail, and when courses get to this level it's the kind of stuff I've gotta look for if I'm going to provide some feedback. Once again you've went out and made 18 unique holes on the same track and have provided something that is a blast to play. Well done sir. And also thank you for that link to the guy raging on tgc i laughed my ass off for a couple days over that guy.

Course in it's current setup does not play very hard. The course was also meant for this go around for a 6600 yard setup, but I screwed up and did not read the rules and had to plunk down a bunch of tees to grab the extra 200 yards. I was trying for a few more options off the tee then it presently has. When I designed this I never had any intention of ever going beyond 6600 yards.
However if you look carefully, you may see I have the ability to turn this into a fair test with alternate tees and definitely some interesting pin positions. I was glad when Yeti played it, he recognised that and commented on that. Just simply jumping the slider to 187 green speed would provide you with ample challenge alone right there. Those greens are designed to keep you on the green and run you off far if missed.
I always make poor decisions in these contests, that's not going to change any time soon.
However as bad as the decision was, I was looking when I designed this at 6600 for not necessarily a huge challenge, but plenty of opportunity for score differential and multiple potential pin locations and tricky tee shots, with a short course with huge swinging score potential.
If it gets picked up for anything, you will see what my intentions were.
Glad some are liking it so far and so far I have completely agreed with all the feedback and appreciate that.
