I recently saw on the HB forums that Mr Kyne was hinting at some information being released during their developer stream later on this evening, as well as the next rendition of the dev diary. So, with no major gameplay changes coming, what would you all like to see in the patch notes for the possible update?
For me...
* Changed font of the word "Shift" on HUD, to no longer resemble that of the tabloid newspaper "The Sun". * New ball lies added, including ridges and divots. * Replaced custard in bunkers with sand. * Seriously nerfed the loft shot.
In all seriousness, I love The Golf Club like I love the hot chick with issues. Really excited for HB's future in this genre and thanks to all the guys here for putting the "Club" in "The Golf Club".

I'd like to see a better way to judge the wind on TST settings... it sucks to bring up the menu all the time.

The ability to copy any unpublished course in gncd before publication.
A redo button in gncd

I would say both a putting green and a driving range, actually, maybe also the ability to design driving ranges too.

It's a fine line between 'True Sim' and 'Unrealistically Difficult' for me, as I've always thought of grid lines being there to give you the information that an actual golfer can achieve by looking around their environment, just like the wind, if you were there you would feel it and know how strong it was, not be devoid of any information whatsoever. However, faster changing winds and swirls etc would be fantastic. @duds : Mr Kyne did mention that they "needed a driving range" etc. Looking forward to the future of the Golf Club a lot.

A redo button in gncd A snapto button in the gncd, and the ability to create your own design of say a bunker using the various shapes and save it as a template, so you can just use it again whenever without having to create from scratch again

Sorry - but the wind still can be judged to a similar level or better than IRL using the technique Eddie mentioned. Not having access to the pause view it would be borderline to little info.

I'm confused as to what you're apologising for. I think we agree... I don't want no information, just like I don't want to use Eddie's technique, hence why I haven't took on TST. Something that may be more preferable to myself would be replacing the perfect wind indicator with something like "5 - 9 mph winds, occasional gusts up to 13mph, East to West", that kind of thing, just to add more to feel than sitting with a calculator. If that was included, you have automatically made the driving and approach game harder for all. However I have no idea how the wind is coded into the game and you have to worry about difficulty driving away players on a game that isn't going to appeal to a huge amount of people anyway. It's a tough one, especially since all the people who have bought the game aren't going to happy if they suddenly wake up one day unable to par. Personally I feel difficulty should be a selling point of The Golf Club, as the more casual players have Rory for easy settings, unless you're on PC of course. I'm also not saying casual players should play Rory, but naturally just tend to.

1. I want more outfits, like 3x more Everything else can stay still in my opinion till TGC2. Maybe if I were forced to change the game I'll block ghosts on tourneys/tournaments.

What the?? You can get the wind speed from the pause menu on TST? You can learn to read the flag movement - which if nothing changed since I left TST would like almost the same from 15MPH winds going above LOL
