Help an old man out! I have had 6 double bogeys and a triple due to downhill putts. Would be under par if I could putt. What are some tips or secrets I could try? Don't say stay below the hole, because I know that one.
I play on PS4.
Thanks, Bill

Bring the marker/orange toward you for every inch of fall.
So if you have a 20 foot put with a 5 in fall bring the marker to 15 ft and putt for 15 ft.
This will not work for a down hill putt that has all 5 inches of fall in the first 1/3 of the putt distance , for this add or put marker back/away a foot or so for this situation
this will get you lag close or in the cup , depending on green speed

Thanks a lot guys. I will try the suggestions. Tastegw, I have tried your way already. It may be these 65 yr old nerves. In real life putting has always been the great equalizer for me.

Also allow for more break on downhill putts That's not my experience for plenty of down hill putts here's why:
I admit these down hillers are a struggle, weight wise, thrangar tips will work, pretty much what I do, lagging these I have no problem. Only thing I would add, is fast greens, I would bring my marker in to 14 to lag it no more than a foot by the hole, or stay at 15 to take some break out of the putt, depends on situation. I always use his tip but for fast greens I mostly subtract 1 more to lag. Now obviously if it 3 feet down hill, I might subtract a little more than 1 from the amount in inches of downhill I have. Ie 36 down, I might go 40 less feet for the putt.
Line is a completely different story for me and many others I'm sure, we have 2 amazing putters here in Jimgem and Doyley. Maybe they will jump in, Scott is pretty busy, Jim may or may not see this.
What I'm having some success with, and I admit, I'm still learning this, is to look at the break out side of your grid both right and left of your grids. Often in the grid on line between me and the hole I see break, moving dots going 1 way or another and hit the putt and it stays straight or has far less break then the dots would of suggested. I find it either has the break as the grid suggested, or far less, never more allowing for Jakkals suggestion above. If that's just me imagining that ignore this post. but this causes me fits each and every single round of golf.
Ok with that said, I'm having a little more success with looking at the grids between me and the hole and the 2 grids on either side. What I'm finding often now, and I admit I had not even paid much attention before to the other 2 grids, is that while the center grid might be showing break the other 2 are opposing each other, 1 right break, 1 left break, center grid could be either of the 2. If that is the case it's a really good indicator the center grid is showing an incorrect break and the break will be less then the center is showing and there is a really good chance the putt will not break at all and even go in the opposite direction. If they are all breaking in the same direction, then jakkals tip is good, play a little more break depending on how far down hill the putt is.
I hope this helps and makes sense.
Should I be even giving these tips, there already is enough competition out there, short answer, absolutely, golfers are all about helping others get better, gamers not so much, I'm a golfer, not a gamer.
I follow lots of ghosts, the biggest mistake I see people doing is not moving the marker for distance and just trying to use power, the game early was all about power, now its power and marker. If you move the marker for distance as suggested, the game is extremely forgiving about the power you can use and has a fairly large range, move the marker people, the game was designed assuming you would, you should.
