Started off real hot thanks to some generous winds and great putting, thennnnn.... poor course management on Kodiak and some stiff winds on Crawford settled me down... Q-School total: -23 Mount Yeti: -5 Whispering River: -9 Copper Creek: -2 Son Gual: -6 (stoked on that score) Kodiak: E Crawford: -1 Thinking -23 will get it done for the tour card, any thoughts? Nailed it, great shooting.

Thinking -23 will get it done for the tour card, any thoughts? My guess is that you're good to go on the tour of your choice. Nice score on Son Gual - that's a tough track!

in actual tournament play, if you sign for a score that is higher than your actual score then you sigrned and recorded the higher score. I don't believe it is a DQ. You would have to accept your 76, despite shooting 75. We would need to open the rule book.

So I have a question. If you get in the top 250 are you still able to ask to be placed in another tour? I like being competitive for my level and while i can usually shoot under par each round, i'm not getting to -10 + each and every round like our pros around here. I do wish to get better but for competition, you normally go with the tour that people play closer to your level. Tho i suppose that is what the PGA is for, not everyone can be a Phil or Tiger. I had a great practice round of -9 at whispering, best ever, followed that up with a -2 and -4. It is good but no where near the competitive edge of lets say the top 25. I'm not complaining at all. I'm practicing and want to get better, i'm just trying to understand all of this.

My goal was to shoot -6 to -8 on Mount Yeti, Whispering River and Crawford, throw in -2 to -4 on Copper Creek, Son Gual and Kodiak to end up around -25. Ended up with this:
Mount Yeti: -10 Whispering River: -17 (still dont know how that happened) Copper Creek: -4 Son Gual: -6 (Bogied the last, was being greedy trying to chip in for birdie and almost lost the ball down the slope) Kodiak: -6 Crawford -6 (Only double bogey came on the 3rd after chipping and flopping up and back down the slope to the right of the green)
Total score: -49 ,Twice as good as I'd hoped for!!!!

That -17 is only 2 better than me dammit.
Joking aside great scoring and I thought I had a really good one with -15 until I saw this.

Wow -15 and -17. Well done fellas. 1. Mount Yeti: 67 (-5) Just felt like I wasn't scoring where I felt I could in moderate wind, but pleased with the result, played through and was aided by a lucky eagle on the 16th which brought me close to my target. 2. The club on Whispering River: 66(-6) Once again felt like I struggled to score the birdies I did score. Wind was up to 12mph down to 8mph. 3. Copper Creek: 75 (+4). Wind was an issue but I played poorly. My target for the three hardest courses was to get par or better. Poor start to what I see as the three hardest courses, one wet ball trying to make up a stroke in frustration. :/ 4. Son Gaul: 68 (-4) Scrambled my way to a 68 felt like I was just hanging on, sank some long ones by my standard to make this happen. 5. Kodiak Lite: 72(E) Started out missing a 4ft putt for birdie then ended up +2 before the 9th in unflattering wind up to 11mph spiking upwards. Fought back to make par including a bogey on 18 after a terrible 2nd shot left me in some heavy bush to the left behind a tree. Finish even par for what are in my mind the three most challenging course. Phew 6. Crawford mines: 70 (-1) First and second holes played in heavy wind. Bogeyed both 1st and 2nd holes, tournament suspended due to hurricane at 17mph, a rabbit flew past and I knew It was in the interest of safety I follow the course officials decision to suspend play. Play resumed today with safer weather we hoped, yet still around the 11mph mark which would settle around 7-10. Made another bogey on the 6th taking me to 3 over. Some wayward shots followed by lucky putts kept me alive until a 17ft bird on the 9th, followed by a birdie on 14, 17 and 18. Finishing up 1 under par. Quite a roller coaster last round. -12 for Q-school, for my standard and considering some wind challenges, I'm very happy with that. Great selection of courses that almost never felt simple and often felt very difficult. Thanks to everyone who is putting in the hours administration wise. Thanks to the course designers and the reviewers also. Last but not least good luck and thanks for all those playing for making it exciting.

Well, I do not expect to be receiving my PGA Tour card this time out ... but, maybe the web.com tour ... I was ecstatic to finish up with a +17 for Q school. Too bad I took a +13 on copper creek! High winds combined with a putter that refused to put the ball in the cup ... even from a foot away ... But overall ... I played unconscious golf (way better than my normal) ... not waking up till walking of the 18th green at Crawford. So, I'll be in the locker room across the street from the rest of you hot shots.

It let me continue my tour luckily so no problems. Phew (although after the disaster of a second round maybe it was feeling sorry for me !)

A nice 72 in the second round after my first round went awry. I had plenty of opportunities to score something decent under par but I am satisfied, even par has been my goal for the tour.
