Ladies and gentlemen (if there is any of those around here) We are happy to announce the opening of a new golf club in town. It's called The Barnacle. The club features two courses The Barnacle - Forest: Around 6700 yards of relaxing golf, receptive greens and rolling hills. Don't get too worried about the fairways, they're generous. The Barnacle - Palms: Championship course, harder and more demanding, with yardages ranging from 7000 to almost 7400 yards. Wider fairways, the greens are faster, but they are not extremely sloped You can find the courses by the previous names, or if you prefer a harder test of golf, I also published the four days setup of the Palms course (maximum speed, increasing firmness in fairways and greens) Th. @ The Barnacle - Palms Fr. @ The Barnacle - Palms Sa. @ The Barnacle - Palms Sun. @ The Barnacle - Palms There are other courses by me under "Barnacle" Just ignore them. And for sure, I did not want to forget to thank all the guys who have given me their feedback. Really valuable and I appreciate it Thank you Han , mrooola , bassman, drlowdon , and someone else who I may forget (sorry)

All right Pablo, I'm going to play these later tonight after I get off work. Very excited to see what you've done. I've really enjoyed your last two courses.

I tried out the Barnacle Palms. The course looks fantastic. I played the front nine, but I just don't care for the firm greens. It just gets way to frustrating having to chip onto every green after approach shots...LOL. Nothing against the course, it looked great, I just finally said "F"-it and said 9 holes was enough. I'm going to give the forest course a try later on. But very nice work Pablo, I think you did a great job on the Palm course!!

Just played the Palms course... as an old friend from the CopyrightClub days would say "these greens are slicker than a booger in a jar of honey" Like putting on glass and approaches even with elevated loft on some of the holes made it very tough to hold the greens.. there were I believe two that the green sloped front to back making it nearly impossible to hold the green... I had it to -5 at one point then a nightmare run of numerous holes I ended up +1 by the end of the round... three putted one green, took me like 5 shots just to reach the 18th as I played bunker to bunker to bunker to rough! HA HA...
I enjoy Pablo's courses, always have...this one is a little tough for my skill set at the moment, but its a very nicely designed golf course... lovely hole routing, and good imaginative designs throughout... The wood retaining wall on the one par three was a nice touch, could have used a bit more smoothing perhaps by using smaller sections in a couple spots, and the earth in front of the wall could have been sunken a bit more to make it cleaner looking but that's just nitpicking stuff..it was a nice hole....
Pablo has a knack for making his courses feel wide open, always has even back in the PGA2000 days and I have always been a fan of his style... With all this rambling even with my poor performance on the course I really enjoyed the design and the look and feel of this one...
great job my friend, Ill play it again...thanks for the time and effort, thoroughly enjoyed it and could see this one challenging some of these folks on a tour very soon....
Terry

Thanks Karma for the pics, as always. You guys are right, I wanted to try firm greens and I think that I may have gone a bit too far, this is all about learning. The next course I try in F&F (I love that settings) will be much better. Griz891 the forest course is not so firm, so it plays much more receptive. Terry, I really love the open courses, they make you feel like you are there, and after all, I'm glad you enjoyed the course

Hey Pablo, how are you? I played your courses last night and really enjoyed both of them. Let's start with the Palms...this is firm done right. You just have to know how to play the firm settings. Once you learn you have to allow for several yards of roll, putting it near the pin is not that difficult. I enjoyed the beautiful views, nice planting and bunker work a lot. I thought the course played great, and yes there were some tough holes and maybe one par 3 where I don't think you can stop it on the green, but I like it. The forest course is much of the same great designing and much more receptive greens. Nice lighting, planting, and hole design. I liked both very much. I hope you get many plays on these. They deserve it. Thank you again for some really nice courses. Great work Pablo. Hope to see some more from you.

I liked & reviewed the Barnacle Palms-Championship course a few days ago on TGC Tours and they probably haven't posted it yet. Imo, it should be a recognized course even though I had a few problems with two green complexes. Hopefully, you should see what I mean sometime soon. Well done Pablo.

Loved this course. Pablo is getting really good at course design. This one felt like a real course in a maybe less than conventional setting. It still plays really well and you should give it a play.

Thanks for your kind words Seth. Which version did you play? And to the rest of people out there... Trust him and give it a go
