Fairly similar to Temagami Cliffs (White Tees) www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=7927.0I did however reserve the right to toughen this version up and I did by at least 10 or more shots from the white tees. List of Changes: Par 72 7261 Yards Conditions: Medium Fast - Medium Firm New improved lighting, sculpted bunkers added and/or deleted, sculpted fairways, sculpted greens, trees added and/or deleted, grass added and/or deleted, rough added and/or deleted etc... Tees have been moved back obviously as well as more difficult, but still fair pin positions. For course guide see white tee link. You tube link for 3 minute video of pictures. I hope you enjoy. Now on to my next project.

greens are too quick steve. i was rolling through greens all time and it got very frustrating.
other than the green speeds, the course is fantastic, although i did quit half way through.

Oh man you scared the crap out of me, I was out all day and I have published courses before that were not the same as in the designer and something went wonky.
All feedback is greatly appreciated.
However I clearly stated this course was med-firm and med-fast. I just played the first time since publishing and still sleepy eyed from my nap, and laid down a 67, leaving at least 5 makeable short putts out there and making nothing I would consider miracles.
The course is playing exactly as designed, and as promised it is pretty much 10 shots harder than the White tee version, likely closer to the neighbourhood of 6 for the sharpshooters allowing for the par 72 instead of the par 70 of the White tees. I ran through 2 holes only.
The Greens are clearly only medium firm and med-fast.
People who wish to make birdie on every hole after only a decent shot are directed to the white tees, birdie on this layout requires planning and solid execution.
Thank you again for your feedback.

Don't get me wrong Steve, I love this course and wasn't moaning, was just saying how the greens weren't to my liking.
Sorry

Sorry No biggie, I just wanted to be clear my intentions, it's hard some times when a ton of work goes into building a course and some clown like dogz comes along and blasts a 10 under first time out of the gate. It's hard to build a course without tricks that doesn't get blown away. I was trying for 1 that with smart decent play par would be easily obtainable, but birdie would be hard, without getting into stupid tricks or plastering the place with bunkers and sloping the greens unrealistically. I was also looking for one that would resemble a real life course, with real life yardages. A rather tall order.
I'm playing around with a desert theme at the moment, I like playing in lower wind, desert theme has low wind. It's going to be rather lush with lots of water again.

im sorry but i couldn't continue (again). i really don't like those type of greens and im playing how you should.
The first hole i had to drop down two clubs which meant landing on the front then rolling to the pin. (5mph crosswind from the right)
On the 2nd i had to drop down two clubs just to hold the green but that meant hitting the bit of fairway before the green and i still only got on the front.
i wish i could get on with it because the design of the course is wonderful.

The original one is still out there, people in the other forums are liking the original with the thinner fairways and more trees and the shot making requiring draws and fades, it's getting some traffic and repeat plays as well, but the greens are more receptive. Its a fun track, I just listened to a few who were suggesting it was to tight, but people seem to like it that way.
I was just chatting about this somewhere else, the firmness difference from med to 1 notch up is to severe, the game needs to fix this. I just notched it up and they act as you describe. I would of preferred like you less severe difference. Med-soft med is drop and stop as well as med and any green speed. I want this to roll out a little. I don't want to trick it up, and I like the green slopes now.
I have played live on it a few times, people are liking the real course look and feel, great, exactly was I was shooting for. I'm not a fan of the fantasy tracks, I look around and always say, man that would be dangerous for the grass cutter, how do they keep the sand up there, 1 rain and you have a mud pit etc etc. I want real looking, life like yardages as well.
What do you think, black tees, go with the original settings? What's between white and blue I wonder?
This is tough work, the original was to tight for some, 8, 9, 16 and 17 was a beast, but almost perfect. The white tees are just way to easy for some, the blue tees are to hard but the fairways are wider, seems to me black tees and I might have a have hit.
Wish the community was a little more active and less guarded. Would be real nice to open up a discussion and ask, what should I do?, and get inundated with suggestions.
But, the gaming and golfing community mix generally attracts a different sort of crowd.

I love the original one and to be honest I prefer faster greens to slower ones as on slow greens I tend not to hit it hard enough.
So for me the original course with medium green speeds is perfect but it has nothing to do with me what you go with.
I respect your choices and hope we can discuss further.
Forgot to mention that keeping tighter fairways and making the greens a bit slower would keep the toughness in the course. Driving would become the most important part.

Forgot to mention that keeping tighter fairways and making the greens a bit slower would keep the toughness in the course. Driving would become the most important part. Just published green tees, sliders back, made a couple changes on a few holes to bring back some shot making of the original and tightened up a few holes. I appreciate your help on this.
So many versions out there now, before it gets to confusing here's a summary:
Temagami Cliffs, Original flagship no tee in name: Fairways a little tight for some, but played full length. Med Med Temagami Cliffs (White Tees) Easy, wider, shorter and flatter. med med Temagami Cliffs (Blue Tees) Original Length, Wider more slopes, far harder with med firm and med fast. Temagami Cliffs (Green Tees) Same as blue, some new pins and some holes tightened a little should be easier with med med.

At least you give people a choice mate, that's great! Thanks

Only one has played this course on the Xbox1. Me. Pretty tough course. shot -5 with bogeys on 8 and 11. Nice to be first on the leader board!
Tried to go over the water with the driver off the tee on 8. Had a 5 MPH head wind. I knew better, but tried it anyway.
Found the greens OK if you had enough green in front of the pin to play short with medium to long irons in. Short irons would hold fine. Enjoyed playing it. It took a lot of concentration, at least for me, to get that score.
Thanks for creating these courses. It is appreciated.
