Ok new thread, new name, essentially similar to previous version, however essentially it's a new course.
I was hoping with the last edition of this course to meet some Howard Stern, Sirius radio fans, guess none around. www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=7887.0
Many changes from last version, including but limited to the following.
New, improved, widened and/or deleted bunkers, fairways, greens, trees, grass, rough, objects and animals.
Nearly 1000 yards shorter. Par 70
I do however reserve the right to create a far more difficult version from the blue or black tees later.
Conditions:
Medium - Medium
Temagami Cliffs is a ground up design, based of the boreal theme and inspired by and could easily be located in the Temagami region of Northern Ontario Canada. Home of Temagami First Nation.
Temagami Cliffs Course management guide.
Hole 1: Clavin. Slight dogleg right. Drive, there is a bunker at the top left in the landing area, any tailwind and it can be flown, the hill if short will hold the ball in place. Miss the bunker, hit the fairway.
Hole 2: Banana Nana. Many options available, with varying degrees of risk and reward. Focus on getting in the fairway.
Hole 3: Optical illusion bunker, not in play, it's way beyond the green. Front bunker is in play.
Hole 4: Fools Gold. Most difficult, right fairway is fools errand. Anywhere near right cliff, there is no shot toward green.
Hole 5: Long par 3, plenty of trouble awaits.
Hole 6: Short par 4 with some options.
Hole 7: Log Cabin. Fairway is also protected on the right with a deep bunker. Green is almost flat, birdie awaits 2 good shots. Approach shot will likely be a long iron to a large green perched on top of a log wall.
Hole 8: Your best drive is to carry the water and find the left side of the fairway. You want to avoid the right side all the way down this hole. Green is gently sloped right to left, you had enough trouble getting there, an easy putt awaits.
Hole 9: Long difficult Par 4. Tee shot has to be long enough and over dogleg to allow for a long approach shot over water to green.
Hole 10: Tighty Whitey. Driver may not be your best option, but it is an option. Fairway is guarded by bunkers and water, and tightens, rather generous layup landing area is provided. Your choice here. Green is guarded left and right.
Hole 11: Mid iron par 3 to well guarded green.
Hole 12: Second fairway is reachable, tee shot presents many options.
Hole 13: Choices: Long difficult par 4, Second fairway is reachable, layup up will leave a much longer approach.
Hole 14: The Hike. No bridge, you have to walk all the way around to the green here. Par 3. Large green, guarded on all sides.
Hole 15. Weedabits. Try and find the fairway here however you decide. Green is well guarded.
Hole 16. Do Not Pass Go. Trouble right. Try and find the fairway here.
Hole 17. No Licence. Driver will find water. Anything near water, might find water, suggest staying well away from the water as fairway has some severe slopes in spots.
Hole 18. Up hill par 5 that doglegs a little to the right.
