Beginning Week 22 of the current season, the True Sim Tour will be offering weekly Secondary Events.
The format and guidelines for weekly secondary events is as follows:
!!!!!! IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We noticed multiple registrations, and wanted to provide clarification below.
➤ Any current True Sim Tour cardholder is eligible to play in the main tournament.
➤ Any player outside of the Top 40 in TST FedEx Points is eligible to play in the Secondary Event (SE).
➤ Players inside the Top 40 in TST FedEx Points are NOT eligible to play in the Secondary Event (SE).
➤ There will be No Cuts in the Secondary Event. This can change based on demand and/or findings.
Course Conditions will be geared with the following criteria
A Note regarding Member Responsibility and Fair Play:
⏭ While the staff at the True Sim Tour will do their best to monitor the situation, it is ultimately the responsibility of the membership and True Sim Tour card holder to make sure they are playing in the correct tournament and are not attempting to play in both and then registering for their best result.
⏭ It is members responsibility to monitor the Top 40 bubble if they find themselves in this situation. It is up to the member to check the weekly results to verify if they are in the Top 40 or not if they are considering registering for the secondary tournament in anticipation of any change.
⏭ The secondary events structure is a testing phase and workaround to provide the staff with the means to test the waters of an additional tier or tour from both sides.
⏭ The tours capacity to actually implement an additional offering and the memberships interest in a secondary tier so to speak with hopefully a better division of skill sets and easier venues for casual or novice players to the True Sim style of play.
Secondary Events special rules and structure:
⏭ As stated above the only exclusion rule to this event is a True Sim Tour card holder placing in the top 40 in True Sim Tour FedEx current standings for that weeks official event start (Monday).
⏭ The purse allotment and FedEx earnings for the secondary event will be as close to 80% less of the concurring main event allotments (20% of the main tournaments "Purse" and "FedEx" points).
⏭ A player deciding to play in the main event and getting cut will not earn any "purse" money or "FedEx" points while those in the secondary event will, although at a much slower rate.
⏭ For clarity the name of the Secondary Event on the main TGCtours.com website will be "|Secondary Event| Name of Tournament."
Example: if the name of the tournament is "The Bobby Jones Classic" then it will appear as "|Secondary Event| The Bobby Jones Classic".
⏭ The in-game name of the tournament is in the process of being clarified and will be posted in any event in that tournaments specific "Clubhouse" thread.
⏭ The secondary event will have no cuts, however, we do reserve the right to add a cut line to the secondary event.
⏭ The True Sim Tour asks for your cooperation, understanding and sense of fair play while we attempt this experiment into offering True sim Tour members a different structure than before. We are still calibrating as much as we can, within the platform provided, but are aiming for greater things for the TST.

- If you choose to play in the TST Main Event, then you cannot play in the Secondary Event.
- FedEx Top 40 players are INELIGIBLE to play in any Secondary Events.

➤ Any player outside of the Top 40 in TST FedEx Points is eligible to play in the Secondary Event (SE).
➤ Players inside the Top 40 in TST FedEx Points are NOT eligible to play in the Secondary Event (SE).

- No Firm Fairways/Greens
- Ideally consistent firmness between fairways and greens (No Firm Fairways/Soft Greens Combos).
- No Fast Greens. Med-Fast is the limit.
- No pins near steep slopes
- Not many blind shots. Nice sight-lines.
- 4-Pin Events, if applicable from course designer
- *These are loose guides, there may be the odd setup which mixes things up with a firm setting but in general firm settings won't be used very often. The first week may have all conditions to gauge feedback and in general, the courses will play easier than those chosen for the main tournament.*
