Hey TGC guys!
I posted a while back asking for some feedback with respect to courses that were HARD!! High slope rating, lots of elevation change, doglegs, etc. Looking for some new suggestions from the community for courses that fit this profile. Your last suggestions were great. Just hoping to try some new courses that fit this profile. Love tough courses that make you think on every shot!
thanks guys!

Try Springhill CC...the designer just released it the other day. Not a lot of elevation changes, but a pretty good challenge, and great on the eyes.

I don't know if it is difficult enough for you but Yuchi Valley G.C. (Sunday) pissed a lot of people off when the C.C. tour played it a while back.
The Sunday set up is fast and firm but all greens can be held (depending on wind) with a properly placed and lofted shot. No pin hunting there. Watch out for the par 5's and the 18th has a split fairway.

Just hoping to try some new courses that fit this profile. Love tough courses that make you think on every shot! thanks guys! As I'm with you on liking hard courses, I made this post the other day on HBS regarding my top 5 favorites. 1. McKee McGrodo -Black Widow by Jeremy Blaylock I know tastegw says this was made as a tricked up course not to be taken seriously. But I played here many many times and I credit this course as making me a better player. I did not find it a pretty course, but clearly the best golf in this game to date. This course will take any weaknesses you have in your game and slap you in the face with them. Most will choose to just quit, I choose to take the many mental notes and go work on those areas. Which brings me to my 2nd choice. 2. Cuyahoga Golf Club -by Dario Logan Another course on my list not because it is pretty, but because it helps to highlight weak areas in your game, what someone chooses to do confronted with that information I imagine is a personal preference. 3. Magnolia National 2016 Max Firm -Craig LeVasseur This one almost did not make the list only because I do not see the 3-4 foot fairway moguls or the 8 feet deep bunkers that should be there, but it is pretty and well done, the max firm version almost replicates the challenge of the place. I'm almost certain the course has been toned down to appeal to the masses, and it appeals to the masses so perhaps mission accomplished. But it's on my list because it is pretty close to the real thing, it's well done and it's pretty. 4. Royal Lytham and St Annes 2015 -by T. Yeltzman This one is the greatest tournament course there ever was. This course does an excellent job of separating the men from the boys. The boys run screaming to the forums, the men play on. 5. Tye Dunes by Patrick Yates On the list because it is the 2nd greatest tournament course and for the same reasons as #4. Virtually in a tie with #4. Only reason I move this to #5, I give the nod to an RCR. However this designer considered everything in presenting the player with a challenge, no stone was left un turned here. I'm with you OP, I also love a challenge and I wont take the opportunity to plug my own, these all deserve plays more than my own courses..

I'll also throw up 3 of mine- Growling Frog Golf & CC- Sunday is the most challenging setup Royal Ballylough- Sunday again is the setup you'll want to play Congressional CC- Any of the 4 days setups will test your game and course management skills, tricky greens that can be hell if you get out of position
Cheers

The Ratel at Widow's Cross. Golfers have been known to go missing while playing it. We even had to send one to therapy. He still isn't right.

I remember Swindon Downs being a bit of a beast when I played it during qualifying for the (British) Open last year, but then I hadn't had the game very long so not really sure how much of a factor my amateur status* was at the time.
*Note to self:- You've still not moved on from amateur status, you know...

I played the Arizona Diamond, I believe it was the gold tee version, that was a top drawer course that provided a lot of challenges. TPC @ Krampus Kristie is another one (shameful plug, but if you like a challenge you'll like this one)

Not watched it yet but they played it on TGCTLive yesterday:

Another tastegw course I like that is difficult as hell is the everblades. rolling rock i think is its name.

Carolina Low will beat the crap out of you and then whiz on you while you're laying there in pain.
But it's one heck of a well designed, fun course.
