Looking to refill the Rangers will some more active members - please let me know if this is a position you would be interested in
SummaryThe TGCT Ranger group would consist of people from all 3 systems. Their job will be to playtest courses we're looking to have on tour - mainly for lag but also for game breaking issues like pins on red slopes etc. We have 4 people that currently schedule the courses - they would feed courses to the Ranger group to play and then look for feedback on the forums (hidden board). Those of you that would like to volunteer sign up below. This will be a great way to give back to the community and all you need to do is play golf! Job Description- Test for lag (main duty)
- keep an eye out for issues - pins on red/yellow slopes, lack of OB in certain areas
- provide feedback on forums in a timely manner
Please reply with: Name & System
*** mainly looking for console users but will take a few PC guys as well

Scott, what exactly do you mean by lag? I play on PC and have a pretty robust system. Core 7, 8 gig RAM and a very good graphics card that I just got. I'm not sure I'd notice any lag even if I knew what that meant.
Otherwise, I'd love to test courses for the tour but given that I might have a difficult time detecting performances issues, I'll leave that up to you.
In fact, all PC testers may very well have this same problem. Unlike XBox and Playstation, which are all the same for everybody, a PC is going to perform differently based on what hardware is inside of it.
Does that make sense?

We mostly rely on the console users for lag reports as most PC's are more powerful. We still need rangers to test out pin locations and difficulty as well so if you're interested in doing that by all means we'll have you!

How much time would need to be committed to this? I am interested in helping out but wouldn't want to commit to something I don't have the time for. I'm also relatively inexperienced in the ways of TGC and have a rubbish internet connection! Although hopefully both those things will improve soon!

I would hope most Rangers would be able to test out a course or two per week minimum. As long as your are active and help out when you can, it's a green light from me.
