So I've completed my first ever 36 hole golf facility. It was very interesting to build the second course around the first one, as it was never my intention when I was building the first one to make a 36 hole. Also part way through the second course it was crashing every 20-30 minutes in the designer even though the game play runs smooth and the planting meter wasn't topped out, this made it a bit of a grind but I'm pretty happy with the end result.
The first of the 2 courses is TPC @ Krampus Kristie. This course is pretty difficult and is certainly intended for people who enjoy a challenge (I think my low on any of the versions is -9). The first versions were (Summer and Winter) the course that's part of the 36 hole is just TPC @ Krampus Kristie. Won't go into too much detail on this one as I've previously posted about this one. It's a good fun challenge.
The second course is called Rolling Bull @ Krampus, this course required a little more time to build as I built coulees, dry creeks, and had to ensure our virtual golfers could walk around the place. Rolling Bull is a lot more friendly, it still uses the firm conditions, but is only 6900 yards and there is plenty of chance to hit it close with many holes being 9 iron or less in, the punishment for missing is also much less severe. The course has a very unique lay-out with a wide variety of holes, and even though the land has a lot of elevation change to it, you won't have too many shots with a tonne of elevation change. The key on this course is getting it in the fairway by any means necessary, and to go pin hunting when you do. If you aren't in the fairways the strategy on the approach shots changes significantly on a few holes.
I'm going to give this putting pictures on here myself a go tonight or tomorrow morning, but in the meantime, give either or both a try and please let me know what you think.
