This is my favourite course we have played on tour so far. The greens are sensational. Almost always an opportunity to get the ball close if you hit the right shot. Some tough holes mixed with some real good birdie opportunities. I could only manage -33. The last round is a bit of a nightmare having to land the ball short all day but it's all part of the fun. -40 will be a great target to reach and will go close to winning I think Good luck

Wow, it's been a tale of two rounds for me so far: first round -- could only manage -7 after some poor execution, a bit of unwise decision-making, and a couple bad breaks. Bogeyed 8, 9, and 18. I was rather pissed after that, but I kept playing for... some reason, I guess -- not totally sure why I continued, honestly. Anyway, I fired a nice little 55 (-16) in the second round to put myself back in contention. I'll play the final two sometime later today, so hopefully I can pick up where I left off and put a decent number on the leaderboard.

It's amazing how pin positioning can take a course that seems benign in the first few rounds to "I want to take tear my hair out / I suck at this game / I'm not as good as my first two rounds made me feel" mode. That last round was probably my worst in this entire 2016 season.
I started off with -9 and -12 in the first two. Then in the third when the winds were kicking up into the deep teens and no one was shooting low, I was pretty excited to be sharing a 3 stroke lead with Jacko at 6 under. Then I went through a cold streak and ended limping past the finish line at 5 under. The fourth round had me shooting 3 bogeys and a double bogey. I attempted more 50 foot putts in that last round than I had in the first 3 rounds. I finished 27 under.
But as frustrated as I was after that Sunday round, I still believe that the collective 4 pin setup of Tye Dunes is such a perfect fit as a challenging PGA course. No one's shooting -50 on this course. The winning score and top 30 scores will be similar that of the Northern Trust Open. But I'm pretty sure the cut-line here will be well into the teens.
Here are my predictions for the week:
Winner: -43 Top 5: -38 Top 30: -30 Cut-line: -15

After a porous -7 in round 1, I did a practice round last night to check out the pins before playing round 2 tonight. I scorched the front nine in the practice round going -7 (two birdie putts lipped out) and then a crap back nine of -3. But I got a look at the pin placement and played my second round tonight.... which went opposite of the practice round.
3 under after the first nine and then -8 on the back nine for a -11.
Sitting at -18 after 2 rounds... once again I'm sure I'll be flirting with the cut line.

You shot a -13 in Rd 2 with a triple!? That's unbelievable if so. Or is that your total after 2 rounds? You're correct. -13 in R2 with a triple. -24 after two rounds.

Those scores are insane especially the flag positions on some of those holes on the second round. I missed a few short putts after somehow managing to get the ball close but I still felt I had two good rounds in the tournament although I won't make the cut.

I have loaded up the tournament a couple times, ready to hit my first shot and twice went back to practice the round instead. I'm so nervous for this tournament. I love the course so much I want to do well. I don't have to win, but I want to shoot well, as it has been so long since I've done so.
NERVES!

Another week I'm gonna be hanging for the cut line. I loved this course from my first play a while ago. Knew id play cr*p in this tournament. Woeful at the moment. Just woeful.

Wow where to start. I think this is a tale of weird HB things the first 1/2 and me just not able to putt on the second 1/2. In round one I had so many weird, can't really explain what just happened bounces that would leave me barely in the heavy rough or a wedge hitting he green in the second round and bouncing as if it hit a ball marker or something. I had a woeful 5 bogeys in the first round. I have never had more than 2 in all the times I played so my -6 should have been -10 or better. Second round same thing with some of the weird bounces. I was able to get a -9 which I was very disappointed with. Round three and four my putting woes came in. I did bogey hole #9 in round three which was probably the most frustrating thing all day. Bad drive left my second shot short. Put it up within 8 feet. On this green there are literally no slope bubs within 3 grids of the hole in any direction. Quite literally the flattest part of the whole course, or so I thought. Aimed straight, hit straight, ball drifts left of the hole. Simply wow. I actually played round four the best I had ever played. I was -8 through 15 with two beautiful eagles on both par 5s on the back. Only to be destroyed by a 4 putt on 17 and 3 putt on 18. I honestly love this course. I have played it more than any in the last few months and love the challenge. Sadly I have to just shrug and laugh at my own pathetic playing since the December patch. I have never gotten putting back in my grasp and have been trying everything to find a consistent stroke over the last 2 1/2 months. I look at my WGR and shake my head cause i'm no where near that now. I've been shooting 4-5 shots more on average per round since that patch and I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to do to fix it. Wonderful course, i really wish I would have played better.

I was contemplating switching to PGA this week, but stuck with Euro. Now playing the PGA for fun and I go -25 through the first two. Why did I stick with Euro?
