Why instead of cutting teams down so much why don't we merge some countries by area to increase team size. Teams of 4-5 would make it more inclusive. You've opened a can of worms here mate haha. lol no thanks, would prefer to represent team scotland than team gb lol i would be about 200th in line for that team Obviously with Scotland Wales England Ireland and N Ireland merging wouldn't be nessecary.

Ok. So it looks like we wont have enough players from enough countries to get enough teams and using 2 players / country to make a proper World Cup would mean that we remove not only a good chunk of the talent in this game, but you would actually leave out the majority. Fine. If it's intended to be a PROPER World Cup, a lot of talent should be left out. We still don't have enough teams to pull it off. My Suggestion would be to increase the amount of teams for the biggest countries and merge some others. There are many ways to do this. I'll throw some ideas out: Based on gut feeling and what I think would be a decent balance based on TGCTours in general. 16 Teams: England (23), Ireland (10), US (21), Canada (13): A & B GB (Rest of UK) (2) Australia (8) Nordics (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland) (3) Southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italy) (1) Central Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France) (2) Asia (2) Africa (1) South America (2) Qualifications within each country/region to participate. 5 man teams where 4 are team players and 1 used as reserve if someone can't play. This would need more players to register. Registered players with teams of two would mean 10 teams so far: Brazil (2) Holland/Netherlands (2) Japan (2) Scotland (2) Sweden (3) USA (21) Australia (8) Canada (13) Ireland (10) England (23) Outside looking in: Spain and South Africa (1) Last option I'm throwing out would be to purely go with the amount of registered players / country. This would no longer be a real World Cup as the big countries would be in vast majority, but a interesting Tournament non the less. Each country on its own. 2 players / team. 1 team / started 5 registered player (min2). Top players within country qualify. Teams are selected by draw. This way each team can be competitive and we could avoid the Ian, Bradley combo That would mean: England A, B, C, D, E Ireland A, B Canada A, B, C Australia A, B USA A, B, C, D Sweden Scotland Japan Holland Brazil 21 teams so far.
