Have done something a little different for this course... or not as the case may be. I stripped back my Tye Dunes course to just the sculpting, beaches/dunes and planting. I then built a new course from the ashes. Has been interesting to see how it has turned out compared to the old layout. I have made sure that I didn't re-do any of the old holes, naturally this has resulted a few reverse routing compared to the old course but otherwise a very different course. I also aimed it at a different level of TGCT'er. I was aiming for PGA/Euro skill level with Tye Dunes whereas for this I'm trying to hit the tricky CC market with its broad mix of skill levels. I think I have the difficulty about right as far as I can tell. I have gone for a handful of challenging holes, a fair few very easy ones and a lot in between. Though, all holes are lined by a decent amount of light rough and none of the greens are as crazy as I normally go . My hope being that a bad shot costs you a shot at most, very few will cost you much more. I.e. reward the best players, but go easy on the not so good . Published a beta version as 'TD2 Beta 1'. Would love feedback of any kinda good or bad. In particular I'd like to know if I got the difficulty right as described above. Some pics:

Tye Dunes 2? I'll check it out for you tomorrow night! I'll hold off as a special end of work week treat.

I think you got this right. As an average cc player i found this course very fair.

Very nice course...and it was quite easy. Finished -15 with strokes left out there. Enjoyed the design and layout...will be a great course for future events...I see a lot of customization in play settings and pins just like the first Tye Dunes. Great work.

Thanks a lot Dale, I really appreciate you taking the time to play and provide feedback. That is exactly where I'd expect you to shoot so quite happy with that. There definitely is room to turn the dial on this one... You may yet get a firm and fast version that plays a bit tougher, though that would be an aside and not what I attempt to convince Mrooola to inflict on the CC'ers :-D
I've taken a few days back from it and replayed now several times, there is plenty of tidying up and tee shots that are a bit ugly right now (knew this anyway) but I was surprised that I like something about every hole at the moment so I doubt any of the holes will get the full renovation treatment. I also think that the final par 3 (think it's the first of the most recent pics) might be the best looking par 3 I've made... It fits my eye nicely anyway
The current setup is probably the easiest across the board, I might need to spread the easy pins across four days and introduce some trickier ones but happy where things are headed.

The par 3 I was referring to is the first par 3 not the last... It's hole 4... Lol
