Can somebody please tell me how to create water on a hole on GNCD. For the life of me I cannot do it. If I try and flatten a surface it looks silly like a hole with water hidden below. Can anybody offer me a step by step guide please! ?Thanks

The water is only at one specific level of the plot. You must lower the grade of the land below that level with the sculpting tools (I prefer the blue brushes) hope this helps.

Do I use a sculpt raise or flatten to create water? Do u have have to fill the hole with water? The only way I see water is when I lower the land level is that right?

It's exactly that. The sculpting tools, and anything lower than a determined level is water

Water only starts appearing though when the ground is lowered by about 60 feet or something

Let me explain what I'm doing. I've got a Highlands theme. Laid all my basic holes down. Put water down to none on the settings. Is that right? Then around a green I am trying to create water as a hazard but it just isn't happening. I have not been able to find a good video yet on YouTube about this.

The way water works in GNCD is that it only covers land that is below 0 elevation. It sounds like most of your plot is at about 60 feet of elevation. That's why you need to lower the land so much.
GNCD doesn't allow you to "fill in" depressions with water. You have to lower the land below the water table. Designers get the nice water holes by lowering large sections of the plot to near sea level. This takes a lot of practice to get to look natural.
Check out these videos from CrazyCanuck. Some of the menus in GNCD have changed but the technique should be the same.

You may be able to take the soft blue round brush...make it HUGE, and lower your entire hole without losing your sculpting. Practice it on a huge area. Once you see the water start, raise just above that level and stop. Then see if you can get water by the green by lowering the land.

In ps4 you change the size with the d-pad (up - bigger, down - smaller). I guess it should be the same in xbox
