Don't mind me, just lurking.... Been a busy week at work, and I should be playing my rounds tomorrow. Looks like the approach shots will need to be dialled in. I have played the course once before, and a couple holes for practice and it is a beauty. I agree with the defence of tucking pins once in a while.. People just get to used to playing darts and get upset if they don't have a chance to hole out every approach. There is nothing wrong with forcing good course management by having a pin where close (20 ft) is a good shot. Two putts, take your par and move on. Also felt the need to weigh in on the green speed debate. I feel like it should be up to the golfer to figure out what the green speeds and conditions are. This should be part of preparation for the tournament. You can tell green speed just by looking at the club distance, and usually figure out firmness within one or two holes of practice. If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you how fast the greens are, how firm the greens are, Or how windy it is, I am available for hire to caddie. I will even read the yardage off the screen, and tell you if there is any elevation change. Anyway, good luck everyone, No hand holding required Nick. Exactly! His post gave me a good laugh. "Don't mind me..." as I go on and write two paragraphs so that I can tell everyone my opinions and write things like "felt the need to weigh in on...". Do you want us to mind you or not? We got the green speeds figured it out, and some of us learned a new tip (101 - 187) along the way. If we've been able to learn about the course conditions by looking at the course web page for over a year now as "part of preparation for the tournament", then all of a sudden that process changes without (much of) a warning, we need to know. Not asking for anyone to hold our hands, just asking if we can trust the course web page to give us accurate course conditions...which we now know we can't, so we'll figure it out on our own as we play. You'll have to look elsewhere for caddy work.

I'm sure I'll be glued next week if I don't make exemption this week. I'm sorry my alias only lasted a week or two!

If we want multi-pin setups, which i think we do, minor variation in course conditions should be part of it. This is the case in real life tournaments and the golfers figure that out by playing. As you said, the current website does not have a way to state this, nor do they want multiple versions for the same course entered into the database. So, for now at least, figuring it out as you play is something everyone does.

Who selected this course I want his head . Rd 3 & 4 I hit every club in my bag well bar 1 unfortunately that one was my putter! Damn ball just wouldn't go in after a 28 putt first round I didn't think id repeat that again wasn't counting but was mighty close in Rd3 & 4. One of these days I will put 4 rounds together onto Coyote Canyon! Moving Month only moving I'll be doing is to the shed if herself hears me giving out to the tv anymore . 68/66 finish -30

Watchers Eve Barely Night Report (going to bed in frustration of my shambolic last 2 rounds)
Watcher Safe Zone with 25 to play is still -20 .
-19 is a 72% no movement but still Should make it in with ease
-18 is a 56 % down 2% very slowly slipping towards the tide of the watchers
-17 is a 32% down 6% will ether make it or miss it by 1 i would guesstimate
-16 is a 08% down 9% Its curtains and watchers been watchers will probably be in the middle of the night!
-15 are cut

Finally got my rounds in, and defiantly left a lot of shots out there. After telling myself at the turn on Friday "you might not even make the cut" I turned up a 29 on the back to move into a safe -20.
I can't believe how tight the leaderboard is. It really makes every missed putt, chunked wedge, and pulled approach shot the that much more costly.
Nice course Jordan, and good luck to everyone on the weekend.

Saw you shot a great 3rd round Nick, well done. For me it was a tournament of two halves. -25 first half and -4 second half. Will need to master the firmer, faster conditions up here on the Pro Tours if I want to be competitive. Thank god it was the first two rounds that were slower conditions otherwise I'd be back playing in CC-A next week! It is a nice course Jordan but Sat & Sun were a b%& and a half

Unfortunately my 4th round score wasn't good enough. It's ruled out a win for sure but it would be great if I can sneak an exemption. Thanks for the kind words. Good luck Dean with your last 2 rounds. Got my fingers crossed at least one of us can get an exemption for next week. Too bad Chris. I've heard the last two rounds are much more difficult. I hope you get that exemption spot. I don't want to talk about exemption just yet. It's rarely I put 4 good rounds together but we will see. I'd go as far as little more difficult not much more

Figure this out. I practice every set up once before playing. I tend to try things in practice so scores are normally not as good.
Round 1 Practice -5 Tour round -13 Round 2 Practice -5 Tour round -13 Round 3 Practice -12 Tour round -5
After round 3 practice I really thought I had a chance of playing well enough to win. Everything went in on that practice but my proper round was the exact opposite. I missed so many putts by an inch, every shot I didn't hit straight ended up in trouble. Everything that could have gone against me did. I was gutted to see my first chance of winning in a very long time gone. I know I could have played bette. I have to dust myself off and try for exemption now but this has knocked most of the confidence I had built up over the last two weeks out of me. This was harder to take than missing cuts.

-17 is a 11% down 21% The watchers kicked it into high gear last night and It will soon be curtains for RogueElement14 Crying in my beer at what could have been... 1st round of -5 didn't hold out much hope, but a 2nd round of -12 gave me a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, only to be dimmed by those lurkers! LOL Oh well, there's always next week!

The sad thing is both rounds 1 and 2 were bogie-free, even the -5 first round! I was going for the bogie-free exemption! Oh well.
