Practicing a bit more it's not helping much with uphill putts. Might keep the same technique for flat and uphill but use this new approach for downhillers What I found on uphill putts is if you're using this method, making sure to add 2 after the math, the ball will creep slightly and help me out when maybe I just don't quite hit it as hard as I should have. But hey...you're WGR 18 without it. Maybe I should listen to you!!! Isn't he #66? With his finish this week he'll probably be in the 50's maybe?

Could someone please delete this discussion? Seems like the competition will rise drastically when we're done with this thread after all. I really don't need any more competition!

I'm gobsmacked that people were able to play on the PGA at all without moving the aiming marker for putting. Kudos to them, they earned every bit of their cards.

Been trying this for about 8 rounds so far. Maybe I don't understand the math (adding and subtracting...shouldn't be that hard). Maybe I don't get the technique. I'm moving my marker now according to the calculations and haven't made a putt yet. I literally haven't made a thing outside of 5 feet. I played a course where I would normally shoot 10 to 12 under and ran off 14 pars and 4 birdies....with all of those being tap-ins.
Not sure what to do now except put the game awhile for a bit. Not sure I'll even attempt the tournament this week.

I had a very similar theory so was easy to switch but still had similar results uphill but downhill was a lot better. I've had a lot of snakes (3 putts) the last couple of weeks but have had none since switching to this theory so I'm happy about that .
But still not dropping anymore putts from 10+ foot ;(

I've never touched the distance of the putter marker if that's what this is asking. Assume that's why I'm decent at speed golf as well

I'm struggling to hole putts with this method but it's been very helpful in avoiding 3-putts. More practice is required!

How the crap do you use this marker? I've read everything again and watched video after failing miserably during a round. It is not clicking at all and I'm steadily getting worse.
So frustrating - ready to just throw the game out. I'd be better off just missing the green on purpose and trying to chip in.

I find I only use the marker minimally and mostly only on down hill putts. I do move it minimally on some up hill putts..but i just don't have a handle on it enough to use it exclusively. I get better results(right now) just going by eye on how much to draw the putter back.

There's a reason why over 90% of the top 50 guys use it. Let me see if I can put a video or two together of me using the marker to my advantage. I probably have more than 2 dozen rounds using it now and it's seriously been a godsend for me. Just shot -6 on Riviera Thursday and that would not have happened without being able to putt long side-winding putts close for a 2 putt.

How far past the hole did the ball go in your old method compared to your new method. If you used to putt aggressively and are now putting at the "correct strength", imho the hole will now be smaller. The ball wants to go in with a bit more pace, unfortunately I don't have a pair big enough to do this lol. For me it all comes down to can I guarantee I have read the break correctly, most of the time the answer being no!!!

If I could start using the marker to my advantage I feel I could build on an already stellar start to season 2.

Played Boomer's Riviera CC. Greens at 187 so the calculation will be slightly off that of a medium green.
Not the best examples I can get, but it's getting late. I'll try to make some steeper downhill ones tomorrow. The putting marker doesn't help you aim left/right... you still have to do that on your own. It does, however, give you a pretty accurate range of distances it will travel and allow you quite a bit of leniency in backswing range to still hit the specified distance.
