In a trend that I hope I can continue each week, I have taken my normal course reviewing routine and (hopefully) made it slightly more relevant for the current week by playing and reviewing the venue for each tour this week. As in my current reviews, I will try to be as honest as I can be about each course, and include both positives and negatives (if applicable) about each course, but try to maintain an overall positive and encouraging tone. All reviews are added to my spreadsheet and will be included in the next month's Top 100 list. Without further ado, here is Volume 1: blog.tgctours.com/tgc-tours-this-week-201-206/Venues: PGA - Tarantula Golf Club Euro - Dinosaur Valley Web - Country Springs CC - The Course of St. George TST - Red Rock National Favorite Venue of the Week: Red Rock National

Fantastic blog Craig, Red Rock is a beauty indeed. Also, I am under the impression that there is only 3 firm settings: Soft, Medium and Firm. Is there one between medium and firm?

Fantastic blog Craig, Red Rock is a beauty indeed. Also, I am under the impression that there is only 3 firm settings: Soft, Medium and Firm. Is there one between medium and firm? It might be the greatest mystery of our time! When listing firmness and speed, I usually copy what the designer submitted with the course on the TGC Tours page, unless I determine that it's clearly not accurate. But is their a med-firm setting? Some think that there is a noticeable difference between Noon on the dial, 1 o'clock on the dial, and 2 o'clock-plus on the dial. 1 o'clock would then be the med-firm setting. I tend to agree that 1 o'clock makes a noticeable difference from noon, but it could all be mental. It could also be influenced by green speed, I really don't know.

Yeah, there are only soft/med/firm settings. Hopefully, it will be expanded in the March update.

These are a great read...... Really nice blog Craig. Well done. Might be good if your reviews could be added to the official course listings page as very few new ones get a member review attached these days? Keep up the good work here & over at the HB Forums. Cheers, SAM.

Cheers, SAM. Would just be an extra step for Craig to copy/paste into the review of the course. I'm sure he'd be more than happy right craig
