Hi
I've noticed when I've tried to use a driver on a long 2nd approach shot on par 5 my ball does not travel far at all. Is this a glitch or intentional? I realise it's an unconventional choice of approach club but sometimes those 3 woods cannot reach the green in two. Thanks.

Driver isnt meant to be hit off the deck in this game. If you look in the upper right when in the fairway while holding a driver, you will see the % range is something like 62-90%

Driver isnt meant to be hit off the deck in this game. Not only in this game. Even the pros on the real tour(s) hardly ever use a Driver on the Fairway.

Ya, even irl on the average fairways, hitting driver off the deck is asking for trouble.
There are times when I will simply pull out an iron instead of 3/5 wood if the deck wasn't mowed good enough.

I pull out driver off the fairway IRL all the time. It only works about 20% of the time, but when it does it's a sight to behold! Might be why I'm still a 12 handicap and haven't gotten better in 10 years

If I'm 270-280 out then driver off the deck. Any longer it's a layup, any shorter it's my 3wood. Need a clean lie to try it though since my driver is a 10.5 loft.
