After last week's DQ (due to a sooner than expected call for ACL surgery) I thought "I'm gonna start W16 ASAP". Also to change my mindset a bit, cause lately I'm playing too anxious (about the cut, the leaderboards..bla bla) and too fast paced (maybe cause I've started to add 1/2 ghosts on my rounds). So back to basics: just me against the course, with one or two round of practice before each official round. No pressure on scoring, no worrying about cuts, virtual money, WGR, anything. Well it went OK (borderline)...I played a bad front nine to be honest (was a little rusty probably) but bounced back nicely on the back nine carding a 61(-9) for R1 - which I'm sure will be Destroyed (yeah, with a capital D) by a lot of the guys here. Winds "blowing" from 0 to 6 MPH on the first 16 holes, then 7-8 MPH on the last 2 holes

very easy course, but i shot horrible last two rounds, and not as good as i should have the first two rounds. the winds were single digits all 4 rounds i believe, the course conditions were more than fair, the course layout and hole routing was very good, my execution was horrendous, and my putting was tureble tureble tureble. highlights of the tourney were two long putts made, one 40 footer for eagle, and another 30 footer for birdie, but other than that, even 5 footers were giving me lip. one thing i like about the course is,. even as easy as it is, it sneaks up on you with the slight elevations and causes you to hit it short every now and then, then when you think you got it figured out, you start flying the pin, making an ass out of yourself all over again.

I shot a ridiculous -15 in Round 2. Not a clue how it happened as I never got better than -9 in practice! Shall sit back and watch the big boys overtake me during the week...

RD1 - 63 (-7) played really really poorly, very disappointed with that RD2 - 57 (-13) couldn't have played much better, perhaps missed 1 makeable putt
-20 going into the weekend, my goal was -16 so pretty happy overall

That's BS from the game right there! That would have seriously pissed me off.

-11, -7, -11, -6 for me. Had a lot of fun playing with Tim and Scott and taking my time more! Round 2 killed me as those conditions were pretty tame. Also, go watch me get robbed on Round 4 Hole 4 by checking out my archived stream on the TGCTLive twitch channel. Perfect speed, dead Center and it hopped over the hole!

I really like this course, so I'm crossing over from PGA this week. Can't wait to get my tourney started and see what I can put together.

61, 60, 62, 61.. (-36) total.. After a solid display last week where I putted consistently throughout 4 rounds for a change, I turn up this week and the putter had a touch of a cold Didn't putt well enough, no excuses.. Lost count on the amount of putts inside 10 ft that I missed.. Deceiving greens in the sense you could a hit a cracking approach to welcoming territory and you get to the putt and its a knee knocker seemed that way to me as I say but again, I didn't putt well enough here and can't complain.. I really enjoyed playing this course overall, not the most difficult setup in the world BUT the designer deserves credit for blending together an interesting track in terms of distance and strategy..If your not quite on your game on the southern conservatory, an expectant low-ish round can soon fade..( I discovered this out) Good luck to those of you yet to begin your tourneys and very well done to those setting the pace early on!
