course is near 50% completed, 9 holes have been worked on thus far, though those holes are not 100% done, some need some bunker work still and minor sculpting here and there. but what bumps me to about 50% or more is i have done much work on the backdrop and the cart paths for the entire plot. anyhoot, some new photos of the progress: the finishing hole, hole 18: despite the hole possibly taking a stroke back from you as this is the longest par 4 on the course, its still a work of art and leads you back to the only pond on the plot. ---------------------- hole 12 got some good work in, the shortest par 3 on the course: this hole may prove to be the easiest par 3 on the course, because the other 3 are all much longer, but this one features the biggest elevation change from tee to green, still nothing too drastic, maybe 35ish feet. winds will be the only thing really that would make this hole hard. the smaller green is guarded by 2 very large waste bunkers, you do not want to plug those. ---------------------- hole 17 in the works, only 1 photo as this hole still needs bunker and green complex work: ------------------------ and lastly, an overhead shot of the entire course and planned sections, follow the barren cart paths for clues as to where the other holes will go. ----------------------- may get some more work done tonight, we will see. until next time, enjoy.

some more work done: lets start with overhead of all work to date: next is some final photos of hole 17, as i think that hole is 99% done: (hole 17 is on the left above, hole 16 is to the right)now lets get to hole 16, a long par 3: holes 16, 17 and 18 all share their own spot of land, sandwiched in between the road and the hills: and lastly, headed back over to the front nine, getting some foundations down for hole 6: gogo gadget cart path hole 6 will feature the course's largest waste bunker, but with generous fairways. this is quite the contrast from hole 5 that only featured two small bunkers. more work to come in the next few days if i can get a chance. but thats all for the weekend i believe.

Hole 6 is in the books, some minor polish here and there like deleting some rocks on the rough and stuff needed, but its fully sculpted and textured. yesterday, i spent a little time laying down that foundation, and getting the green/fairway/bunkers in. today it looks like this: im excited about this hole, may be my favorite on the course, so simple, yet so attractive and still has a little bite. I think i nailed this large waste bunker, but thats just my opinon, so here are the rest of the photos for the hole starting from the tee and closing in on the green complex: till next time...

lol, tahts why im not designing on ps4. it sucks like a mother ducker anyhoot: more on hole 10, and its back runner hole 14, as these two holes are run side by side in opposite directions, separated by waste bunkers. both holes, hole 10 is on top, hole 14 is on bottom: 10 to the left, 14 to the right: 14 from the tee: still needs some work in the sculpting area14 to the green: and the entire progress from up high: hole 10 is going to be a b%&, long par 4, with a unforgiving green if you miss your mark to the left, miss right isnt that big of a deal. hole 14 is much shorter than hole 10, but features a tough green on the surface, both holes offer generous landing zones off the box, selecting the best patch of fairway to hit your approach from however, may require some thought. this course has me motivated, unlike any other before it. 5 holes left to do, plant meter is around 65%. this is going to happen folks. release is due within the next 12 days. ---------- also, put much thought into the course name, final name will be "The Arizona Diamonds" will have a backstory about how Anthony McKee and Markus McGrodo decided to build a new course in the USA, and why they chose arizona and other stuff. 4 Tee's Planned: The Arizona White Diamond: These tee's will be the shortest, with the softest settings of the 4 tee's (Soft Fairways, Soft Greens, Medium Green Speeds) The Arizona Blue Diamond: These tee's will be much longer than the whites, but still not the tips, and will feature harder settings than white, but not the hardest (Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, with Medium Speeds) The Arizona Black Diamond: This will be the tour version, the settings I am designing the course to be (Firmest Fairways, Medium Greens, Fastest Green Speeds) The Arizona Gold Diamond: This is an oxymoron, its not a diamond with a gold color, its a chunk of gold shaped like a diamond, therefor, this tee will feature maxed settings with hard pins, think of it as the black widow of this course. This tee set is not to be taken seriously, par will be a great score.
