Chipping has been an area of my game where I struggle. So much that I will either putt or flop when I am off the green. Does anyone have any tips for chipping? How far a PW will go at full speed or anything like that? When I chip, it is usually with the LW. The other clubs are hard for me to predict, I will either come up way short or blow it by the pin. As I watch may of the ghost players, there are many times where they chip and sink it (often at high rates of speed).
Does anyone have any information on how far a LW, PW, 9I, ect will go? I know it depends on the green speed and slope but I can't seem to get this right. I feel like this is a part of the game that will help me score better if I can get better at it.
By the way, I have a hard time spending hours upon hours of practice due to family constraints.
Any help would be appreciated.

LW: 7 yards SW: 11 yards PW: 17 yards 9i: 23 yards
approx for about 160ish speed greens/med firmness.

Most chips I play with LW, rarely a SW.PW and 9i are no chippers for me. I rather prefer a tiny flop then but that's personal. Practice your chips in a round outside the tournament. You'll learn that the slope of the green are a big influence in the roll. Downhill slope? Watch that little bastard roll and roll...

When lining up the chip switch to a putter and adjust the line of the shot as if you were going to putt it,then switch back to the iron and chip on that line. Bear in mind where the chip will land though.

It's how I do it - I can't talk for anyone else. It works for me.

It's how I do it - I can't talk for anyone else. It works for me. I do exactly the same. My process: Switch to putter and I look at slope at the hole, I then drag the marker back towards myself looking at the change in slope. I do this to gage roughly how much to add or subtract on to my chip. I'll normally drop this marker back to roughly where I want to drop the ball. As for roll distances what I did is create a course with perfectly level greens, but made the green very big in size. Then went to 'play hole from here' and chipped, looked how far it rolled, pressed start and replayed the shot. Going through each club and loft for chipping. This combined with putter line first has helped my game tremendously. I can't remember what my numbers were as they aren't in front of me. However I think LW was 4 carry rolls to 7. It's not an exact math as obviously different greens speed changes but as a rule of thumb it works great for me.

I do the same look with putter first and set it up. However I still putt most of the time if it is on the fringe. (Unless there is a large hill or slope I want to avoid)

I putt a lot from the fringe and have even putted if I'm just in the rough next to the green you just need to hit it a bit harder. I am getting better with the chip shot though.

8 yards LW chip
12 yards PW but loft up 2 full bars
It all depends on the green of course.
Anything between these two I just guess really. I don't normally get the distance too wrong but like putting find it hard to line it up especially in high winds.
