This project marks my 20th design in the golf club in just over a year. Whoa! I wanted to do something different and really challenge myself with this project. Thanks to some poking and prodding by the community, I am attempting a pure "fantasy" course. This is really going to test my limits of course creativity and is definitely out of my comfort zone. I finally broke through somewhat and came through with something I like so far. I started by making a plot. I went crazy with mountains and elevation changes and my goal was to "cut" holes into and around the landscape. Here's part of what I'm working with. The first hole is a short par 5 at just over 510 yards. It's 150 ft. INCLINE from tee to green makes this a 3 shotter for sure. With a premium put on the second shot and where to best place it on the upper fairway. The second hole is a treacherous little par 4. The massive fairway on #1 has given way to a much narrower landing area, especially if you want to hit driver. Anything too bold off the tee may end up OB. Both of these holes aren't complete as surrounding holes/terrain tweaks will have these holes looking somewhat different at the end of the day. I will update progress when I can here.

Hole #3 is a short downhill par 3, tucked into a small valley. Club selection and getting the ball on the right tier will be key. This little hole may produce a bogey or worse if you aren't careful. I built this hole on Twitch today with the help of some viewers. Also, if you play early enough in the morning, you may get some spectators. They don't call this hole the "Wolves' Den" for nothing. Hole #4 is a short par 4 with an upper and lower fairway. Hitting driver to the upper fairway will give you the best angle to a back right pin placement, but too much on your drive and you will be over the cliff. A safe long/iron fairway wood sets up a very tricky approach that can roll off the green if not hit hard enough. I started building this hole on Twitch today as well, but went back this evening and tore it up. Now we start to make our way DOWN the mountain.

Sigh....accidentally deleted the damn thing 7 holes in. There really needs to be an undo option. That's 15 hours down the drain.

I regularly go down to Arizona from Calgary so I play a lot of Desert courses. There is a serious lack of quality ones in the community, this looks outstanding!

OMG.....Wow that sucks. I started backing mine up in a seperate folder after the 1st time I did that. It's really easy to do just copy and paste the .course file after your done working for the day into a seperate folder. I've noticed since the last update that the planting bar is way more sensitive than before the update. I just lost a course because of that a couple weeks ago and the bar was at about 53%.
