I don't care if someone desperately wants to stay on their current tour. For all I care they can stay there or demote them self to desired tour as much as they want. With that said though.
I think winning on any level, cc or Web should earn a promotion and any earned exemption should be mandatory to use in the first 75-80% of the season.
Anyone earning exemptions or promotions can then tank all they want, but at least we will have a week without them hogging those desired spots.
Web is fierce at the moment. It's not getting any easier if the top guys refrain from advancing to where they belong and we keep filling the tour up with top CC talent.

I agree that the web is tough right now. At this point, I can't see myself making top 5 but I know that the stronger competition will make me better. Ultimately, I want to be in the PGA but I know it will either take a few weeks/months or I will need to have one week where I am playing hot.

Pretty much agree here but it is possible to fluke a top 5. Hell, I was 6th once. Since then I've missed more cuts than I've made. I think if you win it should be mandatory and if you get 2-3 top 5s it should be mandatory. I also think it's reasonable for exemption spots to be offered to people in 6th etc. but I guess that would mean manual work for the admin team. I always believed that exemptions should be mandatory, it is really difficult to get a top 5 in Web and anyone that finds it easy probably should be up with the big dogs in Euro or PGA. You make a fair point Dean, maybe the spots should be given to the next available spots, not sure how difficult this would be for the admins, maybe they could add in a little drop down box when you are registering for the tournament and that you could choose to abstain from an exemption should you get one. Just a thought here but also on the leaderboard come the end of the tournament they could put little pictures of chickens beside the names in the top 5 that abstained kind of like the demotion strike red X in CC Ha ha sure good old Ratna and co. could have opened up a chicken farm by now

I don't know. I'm struggling a bit with being in the PGA now. I like the tougher challenge and the courses are by far better. They also have a ton of activities (Ryder Cup, Fed Ex Points, President's Cup, etc) but I won't be competing for that stuff. I think so far it is just overwhelming. By that I mean I worked really hard to get better since starting this game. I made steady improvement from CC circuits to Web. But watching what these guys do on the PGA every week I feel like I'm about 20% of the way there and not really sure how to improve that much more. I understand the game well enough. I can do the math. It is mostly execution and you just can't make a single mistake. You can't miss putts and have any chance...and these putts are harder for me consistently, so I'm really struggling. I played my first round last night and hit 3 balls out of bounds. Just disastrous. But it didn't really matter because I can't compete any ways. I feel like I reached my goal but it suddenly isn't that much fun. I had one good week on the Web and the rest were middle of the pack hoping to make the cut. Don't know...really struggling with it all right now. I think I'd drop down if I got the chance. Don't worry I had 5 double bogies in the first two rounds - even the top 10 have off weeks! We witnessed this debacle firsthand on the Twitch stream on Friday. #doyleycollapse2016

Its all about the right week man, I was hovering anywhere from 80th to 25th on Web then the right course came along and bingo, an exemption. It'll happen when you least expect it!

I found this problem last season in the Web tour. I'd always be Top 20 every week without getting Top 5 and couldn't get the chance at the PGA. Following the end of season 1 pretty much all of the Web your moved up and now I'm consistently Top 30 in the PGA. The gap between PGA/Euro isn't as big as you'd think. It's just those top TOP players who can destroy courses that set themselves apart but I'm sure most of the web could more than hold their own. Just look at the PGA/Euro leaderboards for example, you'll see a lot of people are way behind. Doesn't mean they're not good players, just a blip or a loss of form but these things happen. My tip would be to work on chips, flops, pitches and putting. You get them down to a tee, they might not get you birdies but they might save you a par more often than not. Your time will come if you keep at it

You have to look at all of the players who have been promoted. Almost all are competing for top 30 places so it does show the gap is small. I don't think I'll win on web anyway (I used to think I could) so playing on the PGA and EURO probably won't be that different, probably harder to make the cut but the scores required would be lower due to harder courses. I do feel I play better on harder courses.

Come on up, bros! The cut isn't that difficult, IMO. Its getting into the top 25 and spots above that. The margins are small. But they are doable.
