loved it taste, such a good design.
i holed a 41ft putt on the 2nd with it being 15" uphill. I also birdied the last par 3. Made a bogey on the last which is a sin in my eyes because it's a par 5.
anyways well done taste, can't wait for the full course.
score was 35

Very well done, you are indeed a Master Designer ... I bow to your talent. (See link below)
Front 9 review
Oh ... I do prefer the originally planned Logo over your use of Mr Horsepower from Thrush Mufflers/products ... even though it's a cool logo ... it doesn't really fit the course, Just my opinion, your course of coarse ... but the original was more fitting to golf, the other is a Muscle car Gear head thing (which, I have no problem with) ... Just, I associate Thrush more to racing and the Strip ...

Pro's: Nice course, well done with a wide open feel to it. It's anything but wide open though, there are plentiful placed and tempting bits of varying degrees of mess for the arrant shot you can find. All golfers will find this to be a challenge for every reason. The greens are gently sloped and well thought out in sculpting with plenty of gentle slopes around the hole to throw your ball off just enough to leave you momentarily scratching your head. Definitely another Taste course where course knowledge is needed. Do not expect to tee it first time and blow it away. Not sure what the firmness was, somewhere in the soft fast range I suspected, perfect for this layout.
Cons: 5th hole, I get where the designer was going here, 5 wood placed me in a mess 2nd go around, Driver as well in my first, so 3 iron maybe the only option for safety, leaving about 280 on the approach. 6th Hole, although very nice hole and well done provides a reward for the fully lofted driver with a 270ish carry to the next fairway and a wedge in, I did not attempt, however we know the kind of people who will. I think a 10 yard or so longer or shorter tee there would be great. But that is just IMHO, so depending, definitely not necessarily a con. Designing for the Hori would be to much to ask of any designer.
All in all a very nice challenging track, great job again.
Take care.

thanks steve for the kind words, as for hole 5:
an accurate 3 wood is what #5 calls for if wind is not in your face, or in your back. 5w for tail winds, and driver for head winds. the hole is one of two of the courses "give me that stroke back", holes 5 and 7 top the charts on the courses front 9 handicap, hole 2 comes in 3rd.
Hole 6 reward was intended for tail winds only, i tried to stretch it out just enough to be temping for the first time player, I am not sure if a hori can reach it without the help of wind, my best hits with a high lofted driver (not maxed out cause i cant do that lol) still came up 5 or so yards short of the fairway, thus donking off the bank and back into the water.
Overall the course is designed to be played right around par for the average experienced player, and I am trying to keep the course record as low (not total stroke low, but closer to par low) as I can achieve while still having the overall course as a "fair and realistic" challenge I think my 3rd official pass on the front 9 after publish was -5 or -6, leaving room for some expected rounds up to -15 (for the full 18 hole version) by the better players such as you, jimgem, doyley and others.
one thing is for sure, I will not sacrifice beauty on this course, as an armature artist, this is my art project.

Really enjoyed that taste. To me there's a looming feeling that I could find myself in real trouble if I don't slow up and have a good think, but the risky shots seemed just tempting enough without being too unlikely. I almost had the wind to try and clear #6 but I backed out. Can see different wind directions having quite a big effect on a few holes which is not a negative to me. Greens are very nicely thought out IMO. Looking forward to this one. Plays flawlessly smooth on my ps4
