Bit of a mad idea but think would be fun but a pain probably to do.
Was thinking would it be an idea to run an elimination tournament say 8/16/32 countries.
Country's qualify by say top X country's by WGR average of top 10 players from said country
And top 4 get a spot and top player (Captain) picks the Fifth.
Country's get seeded play other country have a week to play matches proceed via brackets till we have a winner.
Yes I'm aware of the Ryder cup but this could be a secondary more inclusive team event!
Very rough idea but would be fun to play in and in my case to support as there's easily 20 Irish lads with a better WGR than me.

Hey. I got an idead! How about the Olympics is for ameratures and not pros. I think that would be fun and in the true tradition of the Olympics. Battle toads bowl game. Ha ha
