While waiting for my circumstances to change which would allow me to play FO4 I started up playing 7 days and it will definitely keep me occupied. This game is awesome!
Zombies plus crafting plus random gen open world scratches me right where I itch.
Anyone else playing this?

While waiting for my circumstances to change which would allow me to play FO4 I started up playing 7 days and it will definitely keep me occupied. This game is awesome! Zombies plus crafting plus random gen open world scratches me right where I itch. Anyone else playing this? I do. I have it on Steam and have played it extensively. The "new" (when I stopped last) system for generating heat as a background variable to simulate the level of activity in a zone to attract bigger or more dangerous hordes is great. It keeps the game from getting stale and resulting in the (often inevitable) castle stronghold from forming to quickly as you'll need 3-4 small, defendable outposts in the wilds to travel between. Altering your point of operation every 7th day (pre-night) can help your survival rate a lot if you already have the alternate locations all set up and stocked. PRO TIP 1: The FIRST thing you need is a bow and at least 5 arrows. Every game, in any starting zone. Or you will die. PRO TIP 2: Blueberries in your pocket reek. A cooked deer in your chest does not. Unless they fixed this exploit. PRO TIP 3: If you think you have enough bullets make twice as many as you have. You're wrong. PRO TIP 4: Nighttime sucks. Crouch in your basement and hide until morning comes. PRO TIP 5: If using a spike pit make sure the pit is AT LEAST 5 deep before placing spikes or zombies/dogs can free themselves. Large wooden spikes will not break while smaller spikes do more damage but are to time consuming to replace each morning. PRO TIP 6: The most important thing on your house is the front door. If everything else is wooden and in need of upgrading, and you can build a metal door instead, do it. Having a metal reinforced 2nd story might look fancy but a reinforced iron door will save your life on a night 7 or wandering horde spawn. PRO TIP 7: If it's not night DO NOT FIRE GUNS. Having horde spawns into the early evening will be the death of your game.
