If I landed it on that top ridge, I would certainly be making a video of how unfair it is having to putt downwards

If I landed it on that top ridge, I would certainly be making a video of how unfair it is having to putt downwards Sorry about the double pic but yeah this course would cause alot of complaints. The hole before this par three is up hill and I hit my shot it landed just on the front of the green and spun backwards 100 yards down in the fairway. If that were the game I would have had to rage quit but since it was real life I just had to suck it up and play on. This course has greens that f you are in the wrong spot you can just touch a putt and it will roll completely off the green from on side to the other. It is just an awesome course.

Looks awesome! Penal design is great - but maybe not on every hole. If anything I'd say that many courses in game are too "even" meaning all holes are similar difficulty. Mix of a couple of birdie holes and a couple of monsters usually makes for a more dynamic course.

Indeed. Courses in real life definitely have more slopes and elevation changes than the average TGC course. Well, the ones I've played for sure do.

Designers in general are too conservative and use too large shapes for everything as well as too "smooth" or large sculpting. Greens as an example where in game we see a lot of red or yellow slopes that are 5+ yards long. IRL plenty of greens have yellow or red but it's normally a distinct feature coming from a mound or back drop that maybe covers a yard or two... There are measurement tools and elevation numbers - use them.

Exactly. Slope is fine but needs to be abrupt rather than a long hill
