After seeing this tutorial in HB forums by Taste: www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=13361.0I decided I'd give it a go. And that's what ?'m involved now. I picked the delta theme, looking for a course with a lot of water, and very few elevation changes, a mainly flat course. This will be a long course to build, because i'm laying the holes in a completely flat land plot, and once they are laid, I will start with all the elevation work, which may be a kick in my ass. But I think the result may be very interesting. Or so I hope. I will keep you up to date as I advance. By now I've laid already four holes, which obviously are flat, so they don't say too much. One first conclussion. I think there will be no first cut, so don't miss track of the short grass

A little bit of an update. I have the 18 fairways & greens laid out. Narrow fairways, and interesting greens. Everything is flat, I have touched nothing of terrain, Lots of work to do, but advancing firmly

Maybe it will take me longer than expected. I'm studying the chances of releasing not a golf course, but a golf club, maybe a couple of 18's (the championship course - in the pic), a "public" course, maybe a par 3 and why not, a pitch & putt. But by now only studying the possibilities

In the beginning, I had chosen Delta theme, but I'm loving more the tropical course. The project is building a 36 holes club with a championship course and a shorter "resort" course. After laying the essence of the holes, I've started with the 1st hole in the Championship course, a dogleg rigth short par 4. With OB and water to the left and behind the green. The tee shot is not very challenging. I'd suggest 3w, despite the two bunkers left and right: If you miss short to the right you will face a blind shot to an slightly elevated green, with ob back and left, and a dangerous runoff to the right: As a championship course, the settings for fairway and green probably will be hard, and there will be no first cut, so be careful with missing the fairways guys. Hope you like it

Hole 2: Reachable par 5. Well, depending on what you do from the tee and the conditions. This is the tee shot The aerial view of the first portion of the hole, with the tee shot in the air: And the view from the back of the green with the fairway to the left in the pic: I know the ligthning is a bit extreme, but I'm liking it a lot. Which does not mean that it's definitive, for sure. As usually, any feedback is more than welcome

A little bit of an update: Hole 3 - Par three The forth is a short - severe left dogleg par 4, with a big green: The 5th kind of reminds a bit of a Pebble Beach hole: Like usually, any comment or feedback, will be welcome guys

You also have long par five holes, like 7th: The 8th runs by a lake:
