I've been practicing the Q-School courses and Mt Yeti Royal Golf Links and Harbour Island Black both have terrible framerates (PS4). Sometime there OK, but last night was terrible, on every backswing the stutter wasn't good at all. Anyone else having this issue?

I think we all will have problems with this game because HBS have used old technology on next gen consoles the old unity software is well past it's sell by date and can't handle this game, it's as simple as that. i have supported HBS from the start, buying all 3 versions pc/ps4/xb1 thinking it will get better with time, but it won't every time HBS try to add more stuff FPS suffer, i cant see this improving over time i think the game was an attempt by HBS to cash in on the EA dissension to miss a year with TW, i hope it worked out for you HBS, but now i see the game on PS4for under £12 guess the bubble as burst.

It's been an issue for Harbour Island - we've been doing a lot of testing to see what can be done. I don't recall anyone mentioning Mount Yeti yet until you did. We'll have an announcement soon.

Mount Yeti has played fine for me on XB1 in the past. Can't say for HIB, I've only played on PC.

They have all seemed fine to me but I would have to play them again to make sure.

On ps4, I just played again on harbour island and did get the frame rate issues. Id say this time it was around 10 shots were quite affected and most of the time there was still fps drops but they didn't cause too much havoc. But I did get a hole in one lol so ... But yeh can taste take out some of the aesthetics? Will that solve it?

I'm not saying you can't play them, but for any and all future courses, playability should be one of the things that should be considered as well.

Usually I do not get frame rate issues on any course, but I get extensive frame rate issues and jerking pictures etc when I open the program to measure the frame rates. Just a thought out loud.

I played hib yesterday and dumped 2 in the water due to stuttering and 92% swing, it was very frustrating to say the least

Too many things added to the course will cause this problem. Especially the animals.

Though I believe you are spot on, this post might have gotten you a warning in the hb forum !! Definitely a few 'supporters' would've jumped on you and accused you of the tired, old being a troll. Pretty cool your opinion was 'acceptable' here! I'm sticking to my pc. Unbelievable that the game got approved for XB1. I always have to remember, it took them 4 months to correct the putt info box. I believe they're on their own schedule and stopping to insert user ideas was never a part of the plan. Another thing to remember is, like Granville stated, many people purchased multiple copies of this game. For many, this was a 70- $100 purchased. Ya did good with the market hb!! LoL

Actually too many things added is a big problem. Some designers (here especially) realized this and have made the right adjustments ( less buildings, animals, trees, etc) and this has helped a great deal. Bailiwick and Ballyntyne are perfect example that strike a perfect balance of detail and playability. One very simple thing that seems to help is eliminating trees outside of the actual course area. If you look at the square of land area, you'll see the golf course only occupies a small (usually corner). If you can eliminate trees well outside of this in small bunches here and there, it seems to help the framerate quite a lot. Has anyone else found this to help ? Glad Harbour Island Black was replaced, its a great course to play, but for some strange reason its terrible on Framerate, and it really doesn't look as if it should be. Mt Yeti at least for me is bad on framerate as well, but maybe thats just my connection. Kodiak is a great course and I hadn't even heard of it before, glad it was added !

Ps4. I've had very slight drop on Kodiak but nothing that has caused shot troubles. Only noticeable on a couple of occasions for me when the camera is panning in to the golfer slowly.

Is it possible to contact the designers and see if they can remove things to make their course more playable?
