Hi.
Will Q-School be done as a 6 event timed tour with each event having 1 round, or will it be done as 6 tournaments? If it is done as 6 tournaments, what's to keep people from playing it out of order, or does that even matter?

It will be done as a Tour. We'll make sure everyone is aware.

If I might suggest, with the issue some have reported, of practice rounds being recorded for the Tour once starting, maybe each should be a separate event.
Giving two weeks to complete it is kinda pointless if you can't play any practice between rounds.

To be honest, I don't think people should practice once they've started Q-School. At that point, practice is over. It's time for the real thing.

We're going with a tour - logistcally speaking - having 500+ people try to find and play 6 different tournaments over 3 different sytems is a headache waiting to happen.

I think that's the right move, seeing a fair few people getting it wrong at the moment.

I think practicing is just part of the game, whether your in a tournament or not. Besides the conditions in a practice round usually aren't the same as when your in a tourney anyways. I practiced on Ballyntyne, and the conditions weren't even close to being the same. The winds were much harder during the tournament, so that didn't really help. But you at least can see what the layout of the course is like.

TGC Tours is trying to emulate the actual professional golf tours. Do you think they practice during a tournament, or during Q-School? They don't. They get their practice in before the event starts. Practice is good. It's great in fact. But there's a time and a place for it. During an event is not the time nor the place.

Sure they practice, If not on the course then on the range, they do it before every round. Plus thats for the pro's, then there's the rest of us. I know I need to practice all the time, but I suppose If someone can shoot subpar rounds all the time, maybe they don't need the practice. I'll be quite happy If I can shoot par golf, but I need to practice all I can just to do that. I can appreciate the realism, but that really isn't what TGC was all about to begin with, it was more made for the everyday golfer, not the pros.

It really has nothing to do with practice or trying to emulate realism. We're doing a tour for Q-School for logistical reasons.
