Week 15: Miglianico golf e country club

Welcome to Week 15 of the Speed Golf.

This week we will be playing miglianico golf e country club real course*, by cardofab. Miglianico is a small village located near Pescara, about two hours away from Rome. Fabrizio has done a nice job bringing his home course to TGC, so I thought I'd take us all there for that last bit of summer time. Be warned, the greens are on the firm side, but that's just how the course is in real life!

You can find the challenge under Tours, named "speed-golf-w15".

PS: Speed Golf now has improved round timing! Your time starts when you hit your first stroke, and ends when you hole the 18th!
We still have the warmup hole for a) tradition and b) backup timing.

Wow, it was another close run thing at the top! Crazycanuck1985 was just edged out by perennial winner, iChaozXD, for his 6th win(!)

Glad that's over. Super struggle. Teed off with a 5-iron twice...on 500yd holes. Guh

-7 in 18:30, you cannot do anything other than be patient, firm fairways and long greens, means the ball rolls and rolls and...hits the rough

After a Top 5 last week, I think I might be on course (pardon the pun) for bottom 5 this time! Made a complete mess of one green where I ended up 117ft away with my approach - am starting to wonder if it might be better to aim for the rough instead of waiting for the roll on fast greens?! I'm sure others must've mentioned this too.

Will happily never play that course again. After having seen my ball roll around the velodrome and then into the hazards on the next hole and then end up with a ridiculous putt which didn't reach the hole I actually quit for a moment in rage. Out of courtesy I went back in though and finished with an E round. Time doesn't matter! Couldn't handle the firmness of the greens
