Just ordered my Acer Predator x34 monitor today!! It is a beautiful 34 inch curved monitor with an IPS monitor and 4k Resolution. On top of that it has G-Sync for smooth gaming and 100Hz refresh rate. Yes a 4k monitor with 100Hz refresh instead of 60Hz!!!! I can't wait! Golf on an curved, ultrawide, 4k monitor! www.acer.com/predator/en_US/predator_x34.html

And this is why I don't believe in "no green grids" tourneys amongst all the different consoles. But sounds awesome! How much plasma did you donate to afford that thing?

It's not as big of a benefit as it seems, IMO. I am about the same level playing on my 60" TV and 21" crap monitor over a VGA connection with banding. When it comes to no grid, once you it - you get it. Still hard and rewarding but far from a lottery.

I'm running on a 2k, 144Hz monitor with a TN panel. I wasn't going to go to 4k with only 60Hz. Playing at 60Hz 2 years ago, moving to 144Hz is not worth it. Now 4k with 100Hz I think is going to be worth it. We'll see. If it doesn't. I'll return it.

Are you satisfied with the quality of the monitor? Here in Germany a lot of customers (and reviewers) reported problems, especially with color banding, backlight bleeding and coil whine. One large retailer even warned its customers of buying the monitor since it had such a high RMA rate.

One large retailer even warned its customers of buying the monitor since it had such a high RMA rate. Sadly, Germany was the beta test for this monitor. They have fixed the colour banding issues with firmware updates and there has been some issues from those getting theirs from Amazon. Every monitor in Germany needed to be RMAd for the firmware upgrade. I got mine directly from Acer and have had very little issues with it.

Good to know. I considered buying one for myself, but I will wait for the Asus PG348Q to compare them.
