I'm a huge baseball fan. Played a bit in college ( really just sat the bench for a few years...but had a couple of great practices!). I went on to coach high school baseball for about 10 years and some summer college leagues. I enjoyed that a lot.
Cincinnati Reds fan here. My father was in the Air Force and we were in Cincinnati when the Big Red Machine was in their prime. I was lucky enough to see Pete Rose get his 2000 and 3000th hit. Johnny Bench was my hero. Of late they have been underwhelming but still my team.
I live in Utah now and take my kids once in awhile to minor league games. Kind of prefer watching football and hockey on tv (Redskins and Capitals fan). But baseball is my first love.

Any big baseball fans on here? I was on holiday in Vegas and California in 2007 and started watching it on TV. The Post Season had just started. We wanted to go to a game but by the time we got to LA, the Dodgers and Angels were out, by the time we got to San Fran the Giants and A's were out. We ended up supporting the Mets. That was then my team. Since then I don't think they have figured in the post season once. Finally they've made it and have a decent team. Hopefully they can go all the way although personally I can't see past the Cardinals. I've not watched the Maple Leafs enough to comment on how good they are. I've also picked up soft spots for the Cubs and also the Astros, mainly due to their poor form in recent years. I'm a sucker for the under dog. I took out MLBTV for the post season, it cost about $12. Some nights I'm watching two games simultaneously, not always live with being in the UK. One on Apple TV and one on my PlayStation. I love all of the stats and the tension, how a game can change with one hit. I'd love to see the MLB come to the UK like the NFL has. I'll have to wait until a possible family trip to Florida to see MLB in action otherwise.. Time for you to start watching the streams of out TGCTours.com MLB The Show league.... admission is free

24-6
Swept the Pirates (3) in Pittsburgh and swept the Nats (4) in Chicago.
Edit: Was hearing about how the Cubs had a soft schedule to start the year and this week would be a good test. I think they passed it. Hope they can keep it up. No one knows the pain of sports failure quite like a Cubs fan.

Man, Duke is gonna hate me.
Back in the day I was a big Pirates fan (Bonds, Bonilla, Van Slyke...) After the strike in 94 I kinda walked away for a bit but I'm back into Baseball. I love just watching the games. I don't really have a team I'm ALL IN for or anything but since I lived near Chicago for a number of years as a Kid I always like to see their teams do well. My wife is a Yankees fan (from new York...so...) and I'll root for them with her so that's fun.
Now duke...here's the deal...I don't root FOR the Pirates any more...but the Braves? Yeah based on my experiences with them in the early 90s they could burn the braves to the ground and I'd smile while roasted marshmallows. HAHA! That was a fun rivalry in the playoffs for a few years wasn't it? Pirates and Braves...good times.

That was when Bonds was still skinny but still an incredible player. I have to look back at when the Braves were good now because it may be 2025 before they're good again. Lol

your pitching staff at that time was the BEST I've ever seen...
Glavine, Smoltz, Maddux, Avery... wowsers... the only time they may have been better was 98 (Maddux, Glavine, Neagle, SMoltz, Millwood)
