I think I mean higher.... "Worse scores" might take the ambiguity out of it. What he said

It is really too bad that the lower level players could not have had an event of their own. No one in their right mind could ever think that the E and Z players would ever be a determining factor in the final outcome of this "Championship" Event. Putting aside the Web Card "carrots", a "Best of the Worst" event would be something more obtainable for the less skilled players. An appropriate "carrot" could have been maybe a two week exemption to the next level and of course a nice little badge to go with the signature line. My personal Congrats to all bottom dwellers for filling up some spaces on the Master Score Card and for sticking it out knowing that we had no chance in hell to be a competitive factor in this obvious A/B Event. Given the massive work load that the Staff members put in to present all of this to us, it is somewhat understandable about limitations and availability to produce events for all levels. Having said that, maybe some thought could be put into some sort of inclusion in the upcoming season for more "special" events for those who live in the dungeons of the CC. Not asking for the world here, but something that the lower levels could call their own. Just a wild ass thought for the forgotten masses who enjoy the game and would like something more inclusive to their skill sets.
Feel free to begin the roasting at your discretion.

I think that is a great suggestion and one I am sure they will look at for next year. Remember, this is season one, the first go 'round. As this grows, the better it becomes. I think the CC tour will look a little different in season two. Maybe a point system and other things that can make it more exciting.

Orion................... an "OG" residing in CC-Z There's currently a couple CC-E players sitting in the top 100 to qualify for the Web, so I'm sure they're appreciating that they're included... plus there still will be a CC-E and a CC-Z tournament winner for each flight... so I'm not totally sure what could be done

I have seen or read nothing to indicate what the flight winners would receive other than just a normal flight victory. My thoughts would lead to say that the flights are over-ridden by the Master Leader Board. Just for clarity, for me and lots of others it is not about the gaining of a Web tour card. This is part of the issue at hand, a lack of clarification on the basic rules with a Championship of this magnitude. We have 6 different groups represented, with skill sets as far and as wide as one could imagine. Is there going to be an overall Champion, with 6 divisional Champions as a sub class winner(s)? The issuance of the Web cards determined by the Master Leader Board? If all of this has been spelled out before, then my bad, must have missed that discussion. Within the current format, there is really nothing that can be done, but that is OK, given the tremendous growth that the TGCT has undergone since the inception. I am an original member since before the beginning of the tour and have experienced first hand this growth and all the variations that came with it. Change is always a difficult path to travel at times and sometimes that change has to push aside some of the old ways of thinking. With that and the sheer number of really good players, the divisions and resources have become so stretched that some groups have lost the one quality that was evident in the beginning days, that being hope. Earning an exemption was always a quality of hope that could be earned fairly regularly, but with the numbers now, and the new rules for earning the exemptions, that also is now lost to the average player. All that I am trying to say is that the new system really benefits the better players and the average to less than average player really has nothing to earn or win, nothing that can be said like "I may have a shot at that" or " maybe my chances in that tourney are well within my reach or skill set". It would be nice to have something for us less skilled players to have as our own and not be in competition with anyone except the players of like skills. That is the new hope that I think would be of benefit to us all. I am very aware that this is just the beginning, the inaugural year has seen many changes and the hope would be to have some extra events for the average guys also. This is not sour grapes or anything like that, it goes to the fact that before we go to far down the current path, that maybe we should try to look at the average player and have some events for them also, as do the upper tours have. Lots of things can be done, it is just a matter of having enough people to do the scheduling , the resources as it were and of course the desire to even do it in the first place. My goal in even saying all of this is to try to raise the awareness that the average players really do desire some of what the Big Dogs are getting. We enjoy playing as much as any and as such would so like to be able to play some post season events also. This is what hope is about, the possibilities and the chances.

Only 11 players in the top 200 have yet to submit their round 3 score. So 189 out of 200 scores of -17 or better have been submitted for three rounds.
The top 98 players on the master leaderboard have a -23 or better. If this group averaged a 64 (-8, which is approximately a third of -23) in the fourth round, this would put the cut off for the top 100 at -31.
Seems like there was a slight drop off in average score after the second round. Sneaking in with that 100th card is starting to look a little more manageable!

I'm looking at my inability to card a respectable enough score to obtain a Web.com card as a personal failure and a golden opportunity lost as opposed to looking at it as having the deck stacked against me.
Bring on Season 2!!

Are you saying you won't be averaging under 18 putts/round and 4 chip ins/round in season 2? Just tell everyone playing my ghost's helped you achieve your score in the CC Championship. It's OK..I won't mind.

Just tell everyone playing my ghost's helped you achieve your score in the CC Championship. It's OK..I won't mind. If you look at my GIR, it's under 70%. No one else near the top is under 70% GIR. Meaning: I really got lucky with 1) my approaches landing on the fringe right near the hole and 2) the majority of my 6 yard and under chips went in. This sort of combination is something that I don't expect to ever happen again, certainly not in web.com with their more difficult courses. In addition, I had a personal best on 3 out of the 4 courses (I think A, C, and D). I rarely ever surpass my practice round best during actual tournament play. I probably practiced the A, B, and C course five times each and the D course 20 times. For all the stars to align on one night, the probability of it happening again is next to nil. Most of you that have scored really well have always felt you left at least a handful of putts out there. I can honestly say that I left probably one putt less than 8 feet out there in the entire four rounds and more than made up for that with 3 long putts that I had no business sinking.

I can honestly say I left both my hands full and at least one or two other hand fulls out there over my 4 rounds. I have never had so many putts 1 foot and under in 4 rounds playing this game. Like I said earlier..20 would be a low estimate.

For those that win Web cards -
Will they be able to play Week 1 (10/12 - 10/17) The Jack Daniels Tennessee Open @ Ballyntyne on the web tour?
If so will they be automatically registered?
