Course not yet named, currently as a place holder, its called Peckerwood Golf Club (Wood Peckers all over and about)
Land is very bare still, tree slider set to zero, will hand plant all trees, but it will be thin after finished.
Hole 1 and two are completed as far as layout, tees, bunkers, etc, the fluff is not completed.
Hole 1 is a moderate length par 4, starts you off with a thinker hole. The drive can be done with a 5 wood up to a driver in any winds, its up to you to decide whats the best choice. Do you want that extra distance to the left? Is it even worth it? Only one way to find out. The green is guarded by bunkers on either side, but the front is safe with fairway, and the rear is simply light/heavy rough.

Hole 2 is a long and challenging par 3. It has plenty of fairway in front of the green in case of a troubled shot to bail you out, but left or right or too long is trouble for sure. This green is guarded by bunkers on both sides, and a water hazard in the rear.

Hole 3 is not yet completed, in progress. Hole 3 is a Long par 5 just over 550 yards. You have a choice of which fairway you want off the tee box, the one on the other side of the water, or the safer strait out section. The 2nd shot is best had from the more dangerous tee shot selection as it gives a clear look to the green, even if its not reachable in 2.
Hole three progress images:
I am building this course to play tough but fair. It will feature plenty of risk/reward shots both from the tee and from approach shots. Bunkers will be minimal for the most part until you get to the green areas, but there will however be other hazards to worry about off the box. Firmness is set to just below the halfway mark, and of course, the green speed is tricked out like always. This combination makes the greens very responsive to holding long approach shots while still making the putting more challenging while countering the subtle breaks. I am going to try to implement a new technique to be revealed later on.
enjoy
(boreal theme is so much better than the rest, i will not touch the others unless they get a major face lift)
