Once the winds hit 14+ the effects on the ball are greatly increased, not realistic at all. I played 2 and 3 quarters rounds on the Vallentuna course yesterday in 15+ winds and I was watching the ball curl in the air like some giant hand was slapping it around. The usual rule of thumb of 1.5 clicks per mph of wind goes out the window here, its more like 2.2. I think once the wind gets to be a known quantity, what speeds and such we get during tournaments then the designers will start to create courses that will have narrower fairways and tougher greens. Courses like Loa Pali that ate most of us alive in 18mph winds would actually be playable on the tour. My personal opinion is HB, quit dicking around with the wind and swings, let things settle and let the designers start to build courses based on how the game is playing. Well stated Tim...couldn't agree more. Up to the mid-teens, winds are manageable. Been having a bit too much with the 90% swings lately though. Maybe the controller, but ist's only a few months old.

Wow, what a round that was. I was confident of scoring the -8 and -9 rounds I think are needed for qualification but I had to concentrate!
Straight into the rough on the 1st hole and already my confidence was drained a little. I managed to make the green and sink the putt. 2 pars followed including one on the par 5 3rd, again confidence was down. I managed 4 more birdies to be -5 at the turn. I was thinking that if I could birdie 1 out of every 2 holes I would be right on target. A Par-Birdie-Par start to the back 9 put me right on that target, -6 after 12.
What came next will probably go down as the best moment I've ever had on any video game real life sporting occasion. Now I'm doing this from memory so don't quote me but I'm sure the 13th is the par 5 hole where your can reach the green if you aim slightly left of the tree and carry the edge of the water. I put a little draw on it. In flight it looked like it may end up wet. It didn't, it lander on the green and rolled round to the back but on the same side of the green as the pin. It was still a 35 foot putt but I made it. The feeling was awesome. It inspired me so much that I birdied the final 5 holes to come back at -8 and -13 overall. My first ever TGCT sub-60, just wow!!! What a time to do it. Only 8 putts on the back nine and 1 chip in! It would have been even better if my pitch had gone in for eagle on the 17th. I lofted up a LW pitch and hit it towards the flag. It landed just short and rolled over the hole, promptly started spinning back towards the hole and this time lipped all of the way round. So so close.
I ran upstairs to tell the wife and she said " Great timing, can you get rid of that daddy long legs for me please?" If I was a real golfer winning money you wouldn't be saying that darling!!!!!
Now I've got some breathing space for the final 3 rounds but knowing me I'll capitulate! 3 rounds of -7 should do it.

Well, seems there are a ton of guys at -35 or better. And I was feeling good about my -39.....Oh well, no trophies, but a damn good time this season. Thanks to all who created this competition, and best to all of you on these boards. Always some good conversation.

First round of -7 under. Did some quick math, after round 1 that seems to be tied for 79th. might have a chance after all. I had a second round of -9 and a third of -7. Im thinking the cut at top 100 will be -27 to -30. Just my opinion. Seems like a lot of people are scoring lower on the final round to drop the cut into the high -20s.

Had a good tourney based on my skill set and shot -28 overall. Was -26 after 3, but last round just had way too many 57%, 62%, 78% swings. Pffft, wondering if hb was messing around server side again. Or perhaps I simply should get more exercise, stop drinking beer through a straw and actually pick the mug up once and a while. Pushing a mouse around on a mat does get pretty tiresome. Either way, good luck to everyone else, hoping everyone ends up where they want to be!

Played well this week, and hopeful of my chances of moving on up.
Rd1 -10 Rd2 -10 Rd3 -11 Rd4 -6
Total -37
Playing on an exemption in CC-C this week so we'll see where that lands me within that group.

Does your maths include people not yet playing? I've done some not so quick maths. Taking into account the number of people who have played, the ones who have not played and the scores so far I predict - There will be 156 players with a score of -32 or better There will be 106 players with a score of -36 or better There will be 98 players with a score of -37 or betterThere will be 89 players with a score of -38 or better There will be 81 players with a score of -39 or better There will be 72 players with a score of -40 or better So -36 will get you in but get around -38 to be sure. Assuming - 15 people per tier wont finish(Looks normal) All 4 rounds will play the same difficulty/scoring Ties will go through

Although I haven't been playing on TGCT for all that long so I won't be crushed regardless. I'm just happy my buddy tuned me in to this site - it's been so much fun. Just wish I hadn't wasted $60 on that other golf game that is to remain nameless....

Can't predict what the non-played are going to score during quick math sessions.

So I'd say your math is probably pretty close (unfortunately, as someone who shot -34). I do think the course gets harder in the last round, so I'm guessing that the cut-off will be somewhere in the -34 to -36 range.,
Its interesting as from the forum posts, sounds like there are a lot of players that I would have thought would be shoe-ins for the Web tour (and probably deserve it, ie. Garrity) that aren't going to make the cut.

@canthititstraight - I tend to agree with you there but I've been surprised already at how well people are scoring this week, a lot of people bringing out their A game. It'll all come out in the wash as they say.
Yeah, I don't normally get much response hence why I feel like I have to talk about it on here!! She know now to keep out of the way when I'm doing a TGCT round!!
