Has anyone found a solution to the mouse swing issue after the latest update?
Will a controller help fix the problem?
I might be done with this game.
I understand the there might be some folks that use the mouse to cheat but if you look at the leaderboards, it is not filled with PC players.
ugggghhhhh!

Well it seems that in order to make a 2inch putt now, you have to do it with a 100ft swing! Think HB has finally driven me from this game. This new "FIX" is the worst thing I have ever seen. What do they have against PC Mouse users now? This is one way to really make the game harder, no way to putt and the Grid adjustments are not very easy now, no small increments of the mouse anymore.
The frustrations just keep getting better and better. Not sure what to think about this latest update today. Anyone have an answer or explanation on what this latest "FIX" is about and how do we mouse guys continue to exist in this totally screwed up update that was released today??

Maybe they just want all users to feel the pain that PS4 users have been feeling(Not me mind). Watch out Xbox users, you will be next!!!

Well all PC mouse users this latest patch update makes no sense. Frame rates went from 60-65 down to 35 fps. Mouse is at 100% moving only 1" also when you bring up the loft box with the shift key the w and s key move at lightning speed. I even put my settings at the lowest speed in the y axis still 100% back swing at moving mouse 1". I do not build a gaming pc to play with a controller so thats not an option. Have to wait and see if HB fixes this. There is know way you can play IMHO with this patch and i tried 3 different courses same thing.

I am forced to move over to controller, not that I mind it, but I prefer to play with a mouse and not because as another said * there are so many cheaters* That comment is BS, I use a 5 dollar mouse.. play with no setting adjustments because there are none. Been playing golf 20 + yrs with a mouse I am just used to it's response to my swing movement and putting stroke. There was no need in my mind to make this update, it has now given the mouse player an unfair advantage in all gaming aspects, not just in this tour.

This new swing is an abomination. What is the point of it? What is it intended to resolve? I have fiddled with the mouse sensitivity settings but can't can't find anything that really works. I managed to get the tee shot sorted by turning the sensitivity down to around 25 - 30. However the putting stroke is now totally ridiculous. It seems to be all or nothing. HB have just wrecked a brilliant game! I will try to work out what to do, but if I recall the saying goes " If it ain't broke don't fix it!"

Same here. I just tried the update and gave up in frustration after 5 holes. Putting has become impossible and the game is now an abomination. I was about to withdraw from the next tourney at Skull Valley and then I said to myself, why not just do what so many others do and just not show up, just in case there's an update to the update. But the way the game is now, I think I'm done. This game was so far superior to Perfect Parallel, but not anymore. This just seems like an attempt to shut down the mouse users. Sorry, but I've been using a mouse for too many years and refuse to use a controller. So, have fun with your game, boys. Without me unless something changes.

So now that I've calmed down a bit, a few observations. I just played a practice round using my xbox controller. So why is putting so fluid when using the xbox controller and so out of control with the mouse. It would seem the designers don't want us using a mouse. Someone mentioned cheating. I guess that's why I've been demoted from CC-B down to CC-D in a matter of 6 weeks. I guess they think I'm cheating. Before the update, I did a practice round on Skull Valley for next week and did a -8. Good for me. Now with the update, using the mouse I was +8 after 5 holes. I then did an entire round with the xbox controller and wound up +5. It also seems the xbox controller was easier to use than the first time I tried it when I first got the game. So the designers made it easier for xboxers and impossible for mouse users. Yeah, this is fair. And as someone mentioned, the FPS which were acceptable and fluid are now down to 35FPS and herky-jerky. To the designers, you've ruined our game. But now that I have a cooler head, I'll try the next tourny with the xbox controller, but I'm expecting nothing. CC-Z, here I come. I have to relearn the game all over again. Thanks guys. Sorry for the rant and thanks for listening.

Apparently, HB Studios made an additional "live fix" to address some of our issues. I can honestly say it is much better. I cranked the mouse sensitivity all the way up to 100 and I feel like I am playing close to pre-patch. Below is the link to the HB discussion and the development team's response. www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=12879.105We just pushed live a fix for the Shot Shape grid speed, also we reduced speed on the backswing for putting. More PC mouse swing adjustments to come, ie. chip backswing speed, etc. Likely Monday at earliest. Stay tuned folks. If you have your Steam version of TGC running already, exit & restart TGC to ensure the update gets taken when the game connects to the server the first time. But note there will be no notification when it does take, but you will see the changes within gameplay.

Well I guess the mouse swing has pretty much settled in now, any further thoughts?
Here is mine, to miss you need to swing it almost sideways, and when you do, still another hit fairway in the books. Not to mention dial a percent. It really needs a lot more work in the forgiveness department.

Hello mouse effected fellow golfers.
I really like that HB quickly react to user feedback on this mouse issue. The latest update (Tuesday I believe) has really improved things a lot and I can now get closer to my usual game. I still have trouble getting all shots to 100% but I am starting to get there. I thought I'd share the experiences I have had to get good solid shots again. I hope some of you can get some inspiration if you are struggling too. I should also like to hear if any of you have a different experience.
My PC: 8 Core i7 3,5 Ghz, 16GB memory. Nvida GeForce GTX 780. iiyama 27' screen, res. 2560*1440 (according to HB forum these factors have effect on how mouse reacts to new patch)
Microsoft Mouse Marker setting is now set to 1 knodge faster than average (according to HB forum the recommended setting is average) Mouse Sensitivity in TGC game is set to 49 (according to HB forum the recommended setting is 49) DPI no idea as I don't know how to find out (according to HB forum the recommended DPI is 800 for the other recommended settings)
With the above settings I now manage these results:
Clubs - almost all shots are 98 - 100 % (I find it's ok and realistic if the power is reduced this amout if my swing is not spot on) Irons - Half of my shots I get to 100 % power, a fourth are 90-98, and a tenth are anywhere between 50 - 90 Chips - almost all shots 100 % Flops - As irons Putting - starting to get a good feel but very touchy on the downswing to get right speed. On backswing I now go about half the distance I usually did
For me, the swing itself varies from shot type to shot type. It is not the same rythm on clubs and irons, chips and flops very different. I find that a pause at the backswing is required on chips and flops especially. Clubs and irons are more smothe. Putting I have a fairly slow back swing and easy relaxed flow on the downswing.
Hope you enjoyed the information. Good luck out there. Doe Coba
