With risk of sounding conceited, I expect to play and qualify for the PGA Tour, however like the RL, I would think top PGA tour players should be able to participate in or qualify for open European events and vice versa for European players.
I would suggest, that only the top 10 money leaders (or some other number) in either tour, receive a sponsors exemption to the other Tour to play in their off weeks.
Or in the alternative, this might be an additional prize for winning a major on either tour. Steve we are nailing down how all this will work and will be announcing it soon.

I would play the Euro Tour, most of my friends I play with now are in the U.K. , they seem to me to manage the courses just a bit differently than me. HONESTLY, I'm just hoping to make the cut for any tour, lol.

For me it comes down to what courses I'd like to be playing, not so much about winning. So if I make the cut, then I'll be making the decision off what style I want to play for a little while. I really love Links courses in RL but have not really played many on TGC.
There's going to be great players in both tours, so simply just competing and loving the courses I'm playing while doing it will be the highlight for me.

I would be fine with some sort of auto-assign

I'd like to start on Euro but I'm not fond of hard and fast Links courses..with higher winds.

Actually difficult to answer until the courses for each tour are announced. I chose PGA Tour US as the description sounds like there may be more variety. Although a rather pointless exercise for me as I will be having a WoW of a time with the hackers (I mean the high 60's pro's ) on the Web Tour.

Just so you know guys... We will NOT be announcing the courses for the entire tour(s) before we start. We are planning to announce courses one month out. So January courses for the tours will be announced sometime in December. This way we are not locked into a particular course a year ahead of time. Now we may change this in the future, but for now, that's what we landed on.

Can I assume that "some" courses may be replaced year after year with different/better ones?

You could see a gem maybe make it to Season 2 but there are far too many good courses constantly coming out to have to reuse them.

Yea, the only ones I would see reusing is Pebble Beach and of course Augusta National if we get solid renditions.

I voted for the European Tour simply because that's where I'm from. And I'm hoping to do something special in the KLM Open, the only tournament in my country. I totally agree with Steve that there should be a way for players to compete on both tours (not in the same weekend ofcourse) just as in real life. There could be a virtual Henrik Stenson among us who might snatch both the FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai in the same year; and ofcourse 250+ other players trying to prevent that Both tours are and should be equal from the start, but in time I do think one of the tours will be stronger than the other one (could be either one). When we enter that stage in this competition I feel that the strength of the field should determine the ranking points per tournament.

There will be plenty of opportunity to cross over tours and play in events for sure. Don't think if you have a PGA card you can't play in an EURO event.

I'll be going for the European Tour, providing I don't implode during Q School(!), simply due to being a Brit, and that being my "home" tour. I'm also hoping a lot of the better players go for the PGA tour, to give me a better chance on the Euro ;-)

ive changed my mind and want to compete on the European Tour purely for same reason as you mate, im a Brit. I would have to put together a solid 6 rounds in Q-School. -28 in the 2nd Beta Tourney shows i can but doing it when it matters is important.
I would stand no chance though if im on the same tour as you Gary.
