From my personal opinion, I don't think a maximum number of events will happen. We want people to play the game, after all!

I certainly would not like to be moved from the Euro tour. Majors are events that every player dreams of competing in. It is an honor and a privilege to be invited to an event like that and very rewarding after weeks of tough competition.. What makes them extra special is the coming together of all the top players in one event. They're the one's that count.. Having a 'major' field for every single event for all the top players is going to make the tour a grind for them, and near impossible for others to move up since the WGR points they'll earn will always be less than that of the #1 tour.. Something like that may just alienate PGA hopefuls causing them to leave. Majors will lose there appeal since it's just the same guys qualifying.. A 'major' every week.. won't be a major any more... just another tournament.. The WGR table will change very little.. The way it is now is good. More players can win events of the same standing in each tour, the WGR table shuffles a lot more and it's exciting to see the who swings the bigger stick at the Majors. We also get to crossover and mix it up with each other.. And it's much nicer to have more than one way to advance your WGR as opposed to being thrashed by Ian and Bradley every week and never moving up The PGA is the #1 league in real life because of the prize money on offer. Money will always attract the big guns... On TGCTours, money is only useful for bragging rights and sorting out the end of season playoffs. As for the strength of field, I think the PGA is a little stronger than the Euro since there are currently 53 PGA, 45 EUR and 2 Web players in the top hundred.. PGA have 6 in the top 10... and 11 in the top 20. Also think about the size of the membership here... having 2 top tours makes sense to accommodate everyone.. We all want a piece of the pie... Spot on Brionne - this stucture brings dynamism and interrest to the top level and a way to progress.

Seems the majority like the current way and are happy to let the golfers choose which is the better tour. That's all good I guess. Just seems weird a smaller prize fund being just as prestigious as a bigger prize fund.

Will there be an official announcement on how this is going to be handled in Season 2 before W39?
Doyley mentioned a while back that there is a possibility of switching Tour Cards in that week, so before that, I'd like to know what the facts are going to be.

Structure of the tours will not change going into Season 2.
We will allow people ranked Top 70 on PGA and top 78 on Euro to change tour cards up until the end of the Web.com Tour finals by emailing commish@tgctours.com.

Just going through the current top 200 to find what would be the strength of field (SoF) rating if each player played in their respective tournament the same week.
SoF = World Rating (top 200 wgr) + Home Rating (top 30 home tour)
World Ratings PGA: 453 Euro: 438 Web: 33 CCA: 1
Home Rating Not 100% sure how this works but I'm hazarding a guess if everyone played the home ratings would always equal 75 with a limit of 75% of the world rating.
SoF Rating PGA: 528 Euro: 513 Web: 57.75
This means if everyone were to play their tournament that week a PGA event would garner the winner 64pts, a Euro event win would get 62pts and a web event 18pts. Meanwhile with only 30 players in the tour championship currently going on the winner will only get 40pts. Not sure if it actually works out like that but I'm intrigued.
Bet you're all scratching your heads aren't you? Haha. But seems PGA is just edging out euro tour in spite of the top 3 in the world being euros.

It is in my experience that web is much closer to pga than 18 to 64.

Yeah maybe. What makes you think this? I'm just going off what I've read about the real life WGR.

Oswinner:
My total ranking points went up by about 0.6 when I won in week 32 on Web. In week 35 on pga I had a 3-way tie for 5th and my ranking points went up approximately the same amount. I have just gone past 13 events so I have just started to experience "drag" on the total points, so that is a non issue.
The Web field size was 84 and the PGA field size was 100.
